Ellison and Schultz did not acknowledge that because it was a weak attempt on Trump's behalf, exploiting a victim of the fallen, to make himself look heartfelt and genuine. That's not negative feedback, that's just reality. More Americans should have just sat down, and not given into this charade.

WW2 and the economic boom that it created in the US lasted decades. Eventually Europe and Asia got their infrastructure and their economies back on track and the US economic domination started trending downwards. If you want to speak of his economic record prior to the start of war production, you will not find much, if anything, to highlight as a positive. I've seen many suggestions that his economic policies and the The Deal softened the landing from the Great Depression, but also extended it. Much like what I have seen from Obamas stimulus package.
