Today we have the Internet to give us nearly in-person experiences of the world and, it will only get better. We can choose where we actually want to go based on our Cyber experiences instead of those glitzy brochures.

The internet helps, but it's no substitute for breathing the air, contending with the food, etc.,… I think the glitzy brochures are aimed pretty squarely at tourism most of the time, which leaves me cold. I assure you there are no brochures for riding a mountain bike down the HCM trail in Laos.

Tell me where you've been that you liked? Where do you want to go?

The anchovy paste was given to me or it would not be in my house....I don't do salmon. I prefer cod for fish, but most of my sea critter eats comes in the form of oysters.

My work wanted me to get my passport for a world wide maintenance contract. I didn't want to travel. I've done enough I don't want to travel knowing how many people think of me as a target. I let the younger guys do the traveling.

My oldest is going back to Kansas tomorrow. He has been home on leave for a week.

"Let It Be" was fun. They played Beatles music for almost 3 hours. They even played a lot of the members' solo hits. They began as appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, then as at Shae Stadium. They finished the show dressed as if they were doing a Beatles reunion show in 1980. Their talking was kind of cheesy, but the vocals and music was spot on perfect.

I'm the same way nowadays.....I did my traveling overseas. Been West Coast, East Coast, and down South Mash up. Although, I might go back to DC to visit the Wall before I check out. Now I am more about taking care of my lil piece of ground.

    Oh come on.
Christ sakes, I made corned beef, and played Irish music. That has to count for something. lol

Ok I admit it. I cant fake it. I only remembered the Danny Boy song and the turalurah song because years ago I dated someone who was Irish and the guys sang those two songs to their grandmother, who was tanked in an Irish bar for St Patricks Day. These are things you just don't forget. Ahahahahaha

Don't worry Falena, I can't fake it either and I am a quarter Irish. My Sicilian half just doesn't allow me to and the Tan wont go away in the Winter.

Although, I can get by in those Mexican Neighborhoods. As long as I don't have to speak Spanish.

Yeah because Id probably wake up and think if this is a cop on the other side of the door I hope he understands why I have a gun in my hand.

Probably best to leave some food in a cooler on the deck.

Not yet. Maybe he/she will be an Easter Goat..lol. A yellow or purple goat.

I had a neighbor once that would dye her hair to match the holiday. Green for St. Patricks day, red and green for Christmas and purple, yellow, and other pastels for Easter. She was a nice lady just a bit eccentric.

Looks like it's going to be a busy one today, too. First thing on my to-do list is wish MMC a Happy Birthday, even though it's belated! Long story behind that but I'm not gonna bother with explaining that today. Hope it was a great day! :cheerleader:
