    Have you read Neil levinsons book? Said 1973 was the peak, world caught up despite socialism, private markets, you name the cures . Nothing worked, average growth barely over 3% . What will we say if he's right? Can't wait for high school $50/hr high school coal jobs again

    How can the trumpettes ignore.? Losing 750000 jobs / month ATM s threatening to close? Same as ever, get a decent engineering degree and start at $90k at 23. Nothing to it.
    God knows what the whiners situation is? Too many vacation homes, world travel?

    It's why I continue to pound on the RWers here to stop cutting education funding. We don't need the education level country wide that makes up much of the RWers level.

    President can't spend a dime without Congress' consent.

    And the Republicans controlled Congress since January 1st, 2011.

    Federal deficit since Republicans controlled Congress:

    2011= $1,295 billion

    2012=$1,087 billion

    2013=$679 billion

    2014=$485 billion

    2015=$438 billion

    2016=$587 billion


    the Republican controlled Congress approved all that spending.

    $4.5 trillion in debt, thanks to the GOP.

    From reading the replies in this thread it's apparent that Obama isn't responsible for anything that happened during his administration. Unless you count that time he parachuted into Pakistan and single handedly killed OBL.

    He's responsible for how many rounds of QE and how many dropped out of the work force or took part time jobs? You can't have an economy that never broke 3% growth for 8 years and use it as a feather in Obama's cap. The economy was surprisingly his second worst example of poor leadership.

    Let's see, he was president for 3 rounds of QE-truth, there wasn't a 3% annual growth during Obama'said presidency-truth, the participation rate fell continuously during Obama's presidency-truth, part time jobs soared during Obama's presidency which many policies inacted during his tenure made it a sound decision from employers-truth, and it can be argued that his foreign policy was even worse.

    Obama's spending further into debt really did not match his campaign rhetoric. Unfortunately he told people allot of what they wanted to hear and didn't follow through well even with what he promised
