    It is amazing how ruthless and heartless some people are... Not you of course, I am sure if you went pass a starving person you would help...
    I am sure you are not the kind of guy to run them over and state, ONE LESS ! Thank god, it wasn't in the constitution they drafted 250 years ago, so, not my problem... I am on my way to a gathering to stop other needy people from getting the help they need, I bet my tax dollars go right into their pocket...
    Meals on wheels - whats that ? A free meal for the lady in the wheelchair ? No way, let her roll on down to the creek and catch a fish....

    I think you are awesome, and you are right, it does help many people. You have to remember that many of these OTHER posters on sites like this are paid via the right to post what they do. Hundreds if not thousands are UNDER the Koch brothers, They are all about ridding the country of the poor, actually throwing them out on the streets and letting them starve to death, it takes away from their BILLIONS.
    Then you have people that think they know what is best for the country and the people because they don't have friend outside of their own INNER circle that is made of of people just like themselves. People that are hard workers and have never had a problem with money, or family. When they do, they cut them off, a brother that is a drug addict ? CUT OFF... Cousin in a car accident and becomes part of THE WELFARE SYSTEM as they call it, cut off and DE -familied... They can't deal with problems, they can't adversity, and last but not least, they just dont care... Ever see wolf of wall street ? That type, it is all about them and about their CLOSED inner circle of me, my wife, my kids, and my small company. WORKERS are things to be swapped out, if one does a great job, everyone else is measured to that person. Need a day off, too bad, my company is way more important than your kids PLAY at school... More americans are becoming this type.
    They think they are part of the upper class because they LISTEN to trump, a rich guy, it makes them feel superior... it is just sad, really and too bad things and people have changed so much...
    Go off on a tangent like this and they type, off the topic, your not following the thread.. LOL

    Wow, are you serious? Paid by the Koch bros? Get off your high horse for a second. NO ONE here said that they wanted anyone to starve and no one said MOW wasn't good for seniors who need them. Also, no one was in danger of dying for this 3% cut to the budget. What was stated is this program needs to be local and/or state and not from the federal gov't. I've seen some outrageous post on PF but yours beat them all.

    Did you read the OP? Did you read my response? Trump said they would cut the federal money to MOW, which is 3% of their budget. That's not going to end MOW. Did you not understand that? The majority of MOW is from state & local gov't and donations.

    Meals on Wheels is not dependent on Federal money and never has been. It is more than capable of funding itself, which it already essentially does. More leftninny Fake News...

    No. Why does the government come in to help after a disaster? To save lives. What happens when mostly or fully immobile or homebound seniors can't get food? They die. Preventing someone from dying is the very definition of saving a life, which is the reason government agencies respond to disasters.

    It would be nice if there was no need of federal programs to take care of people. But that's not the reality.
