It is, guys screwed out of jobs by the company hiring illegals can get educated in Bounty Hunting. Scooping up the folks who took jobs that American Citizens should have would be very satisfying work.

The policy has generally been for all my life to let them leave the country on their own and then refuse to let them back in once they try to return. Eventually they will likely need to go home for a wedding or funeral or something.

Wouldn't such a policy result in harm to Americans in foreign countries?

Few US citizens migrate to work in foreign countries. Most US citizens overseas are retired or entrepreneurs generating jobs. There are some who work for US multinationals, typically executives and corporate officers, this is a radically different "immigrant", they aren't taking jobs from the locals, they are in positions of trust and are needed for their awareness of their employer's practices and capacity to communicate.

Citizens who get displaced by immigrants in the US are generally at the low end of the economic scale, menials, laborers, farm workers, waiters, maids and gardeners. Citizens in such occupations could easily learn "bounty hunting" in some short job training course, take a simple test and be issued a state license and start making money helping to enforce immigration restrictions.

Citizens of foreign countries who resent not getting the jobs high executives of US multinationals offer to US citizens more than likely have experience as high executives themselves, MBAs from their country's best institutions and plenty of political or business connections, they don't want to be bounty hunters.

Time for that policy to change.

I would rather see our law enforcement dollars used for chasing down white collar criminals--like the ones who bring models into the US and allow them to work illegally, but whatever. Right now, Trump is coming across a little like the closeted conservative who rails against gays or the minister with a side piece who blasts adultery.
