To the dead home invaders, they asked for it, it's 100% their fault period. Force your way into my home uninvited and I am automatically assuming you intend to harm or kill me, my castle so i'm standing my ground and will shoot them till they fall and I am sure they are no longer a threat. If they die so be it, they did that to themselves and I believe I can live with that just fine.
Here's a fool proof solution, a guarantee that will prevent deaths of thugs intending to commit a home invasion. Just DON'T commit a home invasion, it's that simple.

 

I see way more stupid and negligent on the roads and highways. I am far more afraid of the teenage girl with her head stuck in her phone texting on the interstate than I am of most all people I know who own and carry a gun. Teen drivers are far more dangerous than gun owners.

 

Anything can happen, but I like my chance if someone wants to try invading my home.

Can't depend on the judicial system to prevent them from committing future crimes that's for sure. Too many cases of violent thugs being released or paroled way too early, even murderers. It is up to the individual citizen, their duty to protect themselves and their family. We are our own first line of defense, the police usually arrive just in time to tape off and investigate the murder scene.

 

If that happened so often then there should be at least 100,000 instances of this happening each year with the some 100 million guns in the US.
