did not vote for the guy but I think the sides make a big deal about the costs , just like when President Obama went on vacations, He has not decided what he will donate his salary too at the end of the year so he should give to his security budget and maybe put a little more on from his riches.

All POTUS and even ex-POTUS travel puts airports, neighborhoods and freeways disrupted. Do you think Obama cared about his jaunts to Martha's Vineyard of his wife's role as the vacation and chief?

Its a larger deal because one of those sides whined and cried about the other side about it, including a particular individual who is now doing the same thing if not more that he was criticizing about

Clinton's flaws as a candidate have more to do with her cold exterior than her eithics, which are saintly compared to the choice you evidently made.

Hillary Clinton is not up to her neck in corruption, even though that is a popular right wing narrative.

You voted for a man who was sued every single business day of the last twenty years;usually over unpaid bills, cheated investors, unpaid subcontractors, or outright fraud. Nothing in Hillary Clinton's career even comes close to that. Nor is it the normal pattern for a commercial real estate developer. Trump represents a level of corruption, greed and avarice that is in a class by itself. I can think of no other elected official in US history (much less another President) who was anywhere near as blatantly corrupt.

Hilliary Clinton never ran a fake real estate university scam, or promoted a fake fundraiser. She may have shaded the truth from time to time and lied other times, but she is a very honest person compared to your choice.

Case in point. As I have pointed out, Trump shows no compunction over peddling your vote for him to the highest bidder for financial gain, and then trying to hide the fact that he is doing it. He has consistantly refused to release his tax returns, and has worked hard to shade the activities of his businesses. That's why you have no idea (and will never know) whether he actually donated his salary to the National Park Service (he won't). Even now, the set of ethics guidlines adopted by the Trump Adminstration are paper thin. And many of his appointees are flaunting even those (as is the Trump family).

He has appointed a steady parade of industry insiders, lobbyists and influence peddlers to positions within his Administrations. He recognizes no ethical guidelines at all.

By contrast, you could see all of Hillary Clinton's tax returns. and the finances and sources and uses of funds in the Clinton Foundation are a matter of public record.

Hillary may be no saint. But only someone who is serially dishonest, or a fool would claim that she is worse than Trump in that regard. They aren't even close.

"Throughout the campaign I said that Trump was a flawed person and a flawed candidate."

Then why are you making excuses for it and pretending the obvious doesn't exist?

Actually you might have to. Many pro sport owners have to pay for their own seats and boxes.

We'll just have to disagree with each other and leave it at that. Hillary Clinton was "saintly"? Oh god ....

We are all entitled to our perceptions and opinions. My perception of Hillary was that she held the public in disdain, lied to us all constantly, and sold us out to the highest bidder. She was a smooth talker, but terminally incompetent in her actions. The way her inner circle worked reminded me of the mafia mentality. Conniving, calculating, ruthless, and secretive.

There were times Trump made me cringe.

    But these were our choices.

Badly worded on my part. What I meant to say was that Trump is giving away (or giving back) his salary which is our tax money. But people who pay the dues he asks for are not costing us anything. That's private money, not tax money. If they think it's worth it, they'll pay it; if they don't, they won't. Frankly, I wouldn't care if he charged them a million a year.

When are you going to learn it doesn't matter what he said during the campaign, what matters is now but I don't recall him ever saying he would not work from his own residences can you cite that for me?

And apparently he figured a way to get that work done at his private residence where he is not vacationing. Quite frankly I never took his campaign bluster very seriously especially early on when I don't believe he even expected to win the nomination and certainly don't lose sleep over it now. I care about what he gets done now and he seems to be making good use of his place down there.
