My impression is that they have abandoned their mission of ensuring full employment and have given in to pressure from lobby groups who want an unemployment rate over five percent. Those lobby groups also want another perhaps ten percent of the population who will never appear as "unemployed" due to various technicalities.
"by all reports" you obviously do not know what you are talking about....Mr Kennedy was a devoted family man, a war hero, who paid his dues in the Pacific war campaign....he also took on the corrupt government establishment in the USA...ie the CIA, the military industrial establishment, big business,the bigotted racially prejudiced south governors, the corrupt federal reserve and it's tyranny of debt laden, interest bearing money supply of the country, at the same time winning the respect of Krushschev of the USSR, to avoid a thermonuclear war...quite an accomplishment....the tackling the federal reserve and the international bankers, ultimately cost him his life, as it did with Lincoln, McKinley, Garfield before him....do you think Justin Trudeau can match those credentials? I don't think so, he is too busy flying around the country to join homosexual parades, and readying legislation to give these people special rights and privileges...that is the extent of his knowledge and activities.

Is it time to put out of our misery? Dissolve the Union of Provinces. Provincial governments should be free to manage themselves as is best for their people. A few might chose to confederate, such as Alberta and Saskatchewan. Some may chose independence or a closer tie with a nearby State such as Yukon with Alaska. Is it time yet?
