Wash Post poll hides: Trump still beats Clinton, 43%-40%

A new Washington Post poll that declares President Trump as "the least popular president in modern times," waits until the second to last paragraph to reveal another tidbit: He'd still beat Hillary Rodham Clinton if the election were held today and in the popular vote, not just Electoral College.

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/w...ump-still-beats-clinton-43-40/article/2621016

Trump is still getting a constant smearing from the media, the same media that pushed Hillary.

I expect his numbers to go up as more people tune out to the media.

Trump lost the popular vote then and would lose it again, in fact he would lose the election

yes, anyone that dems did not think could posibly win could of won, as so many dems did not bother to vote as they thought trump had no chance of winning

anyone that was as big a loser as Trump could of won, not something for the right to brag about though

After 3 months of Trump.....The hard core Republicans would support Hillary!
With Trump we know now what we got. At least with Hillary there is a good chance she's playing with a full deck.
If Putin didn't want Hillary ..... That's says something!

Funny. I thought you didn't trust polls. Or anyone in DC for that matter (which includes TrumpCo.)

Of course I don't trust polls (notice how they buried the results they didn't like).

Still, its an important reminder of the ineptitude of the media and democrats.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel there. Surely there has to be a more consequential positive to bring forward.

Where do we get our news from if we "tune out to the media"?

Look to several sources, including alternative and foreign media for coverage. Its the responsible thing to do particularly when the MSM has proven itself so nakedly biased.

And for the record I don't have a problem with media having a bias-I have a problem with them claiming they aren't.

Dems are still seeking to undermine the legitimacy of the President. Maxine Waters said she won't stop until he's impeached. Dems still shriek about the Russians.

And yet despite all of this Trump would do better in a general election today (roughly 100 days in) then he did in november.

An idiot did win against Clinton (Every offence to MrTrump)

The US had a narrow escape when they lost Clinton as president but they lost big style when they got Trump.
You poor buggers had the choice between an idiot and an idiot.

Jeff Sessions will keep you straight once he's decided which lying bunch of dicks represents the media and which truth-tellers are to be considered fake news drug pushers.

All in the service of creating the safest snowflake space ever for King George of Trumpton.

    The OP is false.

Had the OP bothered to actually read the Washington Post, instead of parroting a lie from a trash blog, he would have seen that.

There is nothing in the Washington Post article on this poll that even suggests what the Washington Examiner is claiming.

Lolz, really? Because the link even tells you where the paragraph is towards the end. I did your homework for you-and checked it out....

The new survey finds 46 percent saying they voted for Clinton and 43 percent for Trump, similar to her two-point national vote margin. Asked how they would vote if the election were held today, 43 say they would support Trump and 40 percent say Clinton.

So Trump went from -3 to +3. Extrapolate that out and Trump wins the popular vote-where Trump won 46% and Hillary won 48%.

I think perhaps there was a reading comprehension fail on your part.

Weird, I wasn't aware that winning the popular vote means you win an election. Last I checked, it didn't mean anything.

If you go into an interview at an office, and make a ton of friends, do you automatically get the job from the hiring manager?

    Man, you're a broken record.

nice try, the thing your missing is if the election was redone, more dems would of voted , everyone that thought Trump could not win would actually vote the next time around

but it doesn't matter as that will never happen, Trump lost the popular vote, more voters wanted Clinton as President, but Trump won the electoral vote, so he is the President

Not true according to the latest poll. I am NOT a poll person, but I know how much Libs believe them. According to the latest poll, 96% of Trump voters are happy with him and would vote again for him. Only 85% of Hillary voters would vote for her again and 2% wished they had voted for Trump. So If voting now, Trump would win the popular vote too. The 24/7attempt to smear Trump must come to an end. Democrats are doing themselves no favors and the American people are turned off by it. People see the rioting, anger and lies by the Left and are sickened by it. Remember, the Left counted out the silent majority, but we watched and voted and would do it again.

Now your making an assertion (because you say so), that somehow overlooks both the actual election results and the polling that is the topic of this thread.

Plenty of dems stayed home because of Hillary was a piss poor candidate and for what she and the party did to Sanders, and then there were those who still voted-but for Trump.

There is no amount of glitter you can roll Hillary in to have made her a better candidate, she always got worse the more people knew about her. This is reflected in the poll results. Im going to enjoy the books coming out about what it was like inside her campaign. Apparently she "hacked" her staffs emails.
