I don't know what any of that was supposed to mean.

When was the last time a health insurance company went bankrupt?

    They shouldn't be.

The problem with health care is in the pricing. It needs to be transparent. You don't know how much your health care is going to cost until you get a bill.

This is what prevents competition between hospitals, and sadly Obamacare is monopolizing health care even more and driving prices up.

You should know how much your health care is going to cost BEFORE you purchase it.

Not my worry, it wasn't a response to you. Maybe you'll figure it out, maybe you won't. Couldn't give a toss either way.

Part of the ACA was to force healthcare providers to publicize their pricing...

And no, what prevents competition between hospitals is the fact that healthcare is not subject to the typical market driven forces. When you are desperately ill, you don't take the time to call the various hospitals in order to get a quote - you just go to the nearest hospital.

If it does not cover all Americans and is not better and cheaper insurance then Trump will be breaking an important campaign promise.

No doubt, millions of Americans such as myself are delighted that once again we will be able to exercise the freedom to decide for ourselves whether or not we want and/or need to purchase health insurance. No doubt, millions will exercise that freedom and drop - not lose - the insurance they were once forced by the authoritarian Left to purchase.

    It's a great day for America...

Lots of people who had Obamacare "insurance" had extremely high deductibles and premium. Basically its catastrophic insurance that is ridiculously overpriced.

Moot point as the above does nothing to refute my argument.

No, you go to the nearest emergency room or urgent care.

    Hospitals require appointments.

I've never seen a price publication for any hospital, so I guess they just ignored that part of it huh?

Besides, the only thing Obamacare did was bury health care in piles of ridiculous bureaucracy.

The most ignorant strawman I have ever seen. If you can't differentiate against human health versus non-essential life items, then there's no help for you.

After getting laid off from my job, I was going to apply for MNSure benefits, the Minnesota version of the Affordable Care Act. Guess that's one less thing I need to do today.

Looks like I'm just going to hope I don't get into an accident until I get my next job, whenever that is.

Thanks, Trump. Hope I don't die.

Why would todays vote stop you from doing that?

oBozocare is still the law of the land.

Is it somehow just not working where you live?

republicans will when all future issues are blamed on them, what comes around goes around

but we still have a ways to go before TrumpCare becomes the law of the land

remember, republicans promised rates and deductibles will go down, every future increase is on them, Trump also promised everyone will be covered and people with preexisting conditions will pay less

Trump also said everything ObamaCare promised, his plan will deliver...

so lets test it out, make it law if this is such a great bill

I see it like this, TrumpCare will fail, then both sides will finally get together and write a bill together so both own it

It was 4 months before the first vote.

But otherwise, I'm not too fond of rammed through legislation either.

Introduced July 2009, first vote November 2009.

The 'victory' press conference today was meant to bring pressure on the Senate to pass the bill.

Tastes more like a patchwork fix, but at least the ball scooted a bit down the line.

Should make for fun watching the Senate.
