Has anyone noticed? With some minor exceptions Trump supporters are largely silent on this thread. Those Trump supporters who have contributed to the discussion haven't contributed much, mostly wisecracks and one-liners.

I wonder if it is gradually dawning on them that they made a serious mistake.

Which one? Which Trump voter? You're not lumping all Trump supporters together by how they voted are you? That sounds like political profiling. But that's what you leftist do. You divide by race, gender, education, religion, politics. Leftist are all about dividing people up.

 

The corporate PR advertising outlets of the global corporations and mega rich are going into a full panic mode at the thought that Trump would go along with their crap anymore. Why not just invite the advertising departments of GM, Toyota, Fuji Industries, and Bank Of America as the "reporters" to news conferences? They are just as much media people as CNN, MSNBC, the NYT and WaPo. No different other than the later lie more.

Why do you assume all opponents of Trump are leftists? On Fox News recently, Karl Rove had some very uncomplimentary comments about Trump. You know who Rove is, right? Here's a clue, he is no leftist.

Don't jump to conclusions. I wrote one profile. I don't make a practice of writing profiles and I never divide people into classes. There are no classes in America.

That he committed the High Crime of attempting to obstruct justice by firing Comey is something that he is going to have to face at some point in time. Right now the GOP is too scared to alienate Trump's sycophantic supporters but this kind of behavior cannot continue unchecked.

What I find interesting is, while you offer general criticisms of the profile ("You have no clue what the typical Trump voter is like."), you offer nothing specific. You fail to inform me of the errors of my ways. On the other hand, you are protesting far too much, which suggests I was right on.

I am going to give you another chance. For your convenience I have provided the profile for you. Now you can be specific in your criticism ... if you can.

What I am trying to figure out is why his fans stick with him. There is one possible explanation.

Many Trump fans are modern day anarchists. I don't mean they want to actively overthrow the U.S. government.

What I mean is this. Many of his supporters have lost all faith in the federal government. Some have stagnant earnings or are earning less money than they did ten years ago. Some have been unemployed for a long period of time. For many Trump fans prospects are dim. In addition, some have personal problems at home which just exacerbates all their other problems. Some may have lost their homes. Some have to start all over.

They blame all this on the government. The government is responsible for the tepid economy and the lack of opportunity. They fight the government the only legal way possible -- the ballot box.

They wanted a maverick in the Oval Office. They wanted someone who could do serious damage to the government they hate. Trump is that person and he is doing a credible job of destroying the government or making it stand still. He is incapable of leading Congress toward significant legislation. Washington is stagnant, and Trump creates controversy on a daily basis. Nothing gets done in Washington because the White House and Congress are bogged down with controversy and investigations into possible Trump malfeasance.

Just the way Trump supporters want it.

This would explain why they cheer Trump on as he creates one controversy after another. They don't have to defend Trump. Trump is doing exactly what they want him to do. Like a butterfly he flits from one problem to the next, never staying long enough to accomplish anything, but making a pretense of doing so. Like the showman he is he talks, making a great show of marginal accomplishments. Signing EO's is just a ploy to make it look like he is doing something when he is not.

Just the way Trump supporters want it.

This explains why Trump's fans continue to support him despite all the moronic things he says and does.
