The tax is intrinsically different because it targets non-Muslims on account of their religious beliefs, and it is even more selective in that it applies only to those non-Muslims who qualify for extortion instead of death. Muslims aren't forced to pay a "protection tax", so they are taxed differently. Zakat and jizya are not the same thing.

 

Which is one reason why the Christians who condemn Islam seem to be incredible hypocrites - as all THREE main Islamic faiths are quite barbaric.

Dude... they installed sharia law in plenty of countries. So if you can't show one who does that, and you can not say that non muslims must be taxed harsher than others,... than that is it.

 

I think that's because you CAN'T - you can't counter the truth that they are saying.
Show us where they are wrong (if they are indeed wrong like you imply) then! If I'm wrong I want to know about it. You do me a disservice, and won't dissuade me from quoting that site in the future, if you don't show me where I'm wrong. My hunch is that you CAN'T show me where I'm wrong because I'm quoting the Islamic texts themselves, and you seem to run interference for even the most vile of the Islamic texts. But I'd love to be proven wrong.

 

My hunch is that if international pressure (from non-Muslims) did not exist, that Muslims would default to the Qur'an, and charge the Jizya. ISIS charges the Jizya, but ISIS unfortunately doesn't care about international pressure - they have no diplomats to the UN, for example, obviously.
