How can the cop who stopped me on the way to the range figure out that I illegally purchased a firearm after July 1, 2013?

    Stupidity.
Tell me exactly how you would prevent men that don't have any problem smacking women around from getting guns. Tell me where I advocated that. Your not so subtle accusation and underhanded insult is projecting your narrative and bias on me is no different than assigning a tag of cowardice on all gun control advocates. Want to accuse me of advocating people be allowed to shoot children in the name of selling guns too?
Your anger against what you perceive is you opposition on this issue permeates much of your dialog; it clouds your reason. Referring to posters as a clown is a real act of class.

You start by not selling them firearms.

As has been demonstrated, 2.7 million out of 3.7 million break-ins per year happen when no one is home.
Thus, the absurdity of your response is plain on its face.

As the Democrats in Colorado have not yet implemented the Napoleonic Code, it won't be necessary, especially since:

a: the law in question specifically puts the burden of proof on the District Attorney and
b: the LEO I would most likely encounter enroute to the range would be a deputy sheriff, whose boss is the primary voice behind the 55 Colorado sheriffs suing to have the law overturned. ;)

The anti-gun left wants UBC for one reason and one reason alone: It leads to universal registration.
Everyone knows why they want that. Everyone.

Keep dreaming... with 400-500mil guns out there it's unlikely. Every attempt thus far has met with massive non compliance.

Actually, I've not had a moving violation ticket since Thanksgiving Eve, 1979, so that's an unlikely scenario. I would hazard that weaving sufficient for reasonable cause that someone in the car has in their possession firearms that were purchased in a private sale after the implementation of a UBC law.

How does a cop suspect that a gun in my possession may meet that criteria? How does a cop prove that I acquired that firearm in violation of the Brady Act and HB 13-1229?

I am responsible for what I say, not for what you construe that I say and
then later insist I said it and pretend you quoted me.

You don't get extra points for not hitting women.

You insist you will sell firearms to strangers and I have asked you a
dozen times how you can support sales to strangers that you know
    ARE wife beaters?

No, that's according to you. How would I get pulled over for DUI when I don't drink and drive, or drink and handle firearms?

How does a cop suspect that a gun in my possession may meet the criteria of being acquired in a private transfer without a background check? How does a cop prove that I acquired that firearm in violation of the Brady Act and HB 13-1229?

Heck, even if I was arrested for DUI with guns in my trunk, how does a cop suspect or prove a UBC violation?

    Proof?

And those women are not armed or able to fight back. Most have been psychologically and physically abused to the point of being thoroughly emotionally cowed, and the men who kill them are violent and vicious predators.

But you asked me pointedly what I thought would happen if I was in an argument with my wife and there was a gun "close at hand". My own interactions to my wife are all that is relevant to my response.

This is first grade search and seizure.

You don't know what you are talking about.

You are playing checkers with a chess set and you wonder why no one takes you seriously.

Goalposts? Here's my hypothetical in its entirety:

"I have four guns in my car, headed out to the range. One was purchased from an FFL with a background check. One is a loan from a friend inside the three day window allowed by HB 13-1229. One was purchased in a private sale prior to July 1, 2013. One was purchased after July 1, 2013 in a private sale in violation of the statute.

How does a policeman "catch me"?"

Any mention of weaving, DUI or any other violation was brought in by another poster. Address the hypothetical.
