They gotta do something to fill their column inches and on air stand ups. It isn't like they can wear their fine clothes into the ghetto and interview a homeless crack addict or something.

Is the press bullying him? I guess that depends on how one defines bullying.

But what does it matter if it's bullying trump? Outside of making you want to side with him? That is the question.

Trump can't even get his own party to back him. He pissed on everyone on the way into the office - denigrated the Intelligence services and the Judiciary, denigrated fairly unbiased press like Reuters and AP, and suddenly he realizes that being a prick isn't the way to run a country.

And the Trump FanBoys want the world to make nice to Trump? You reap what you sow, and Trump sowed himself a crap sandwich.

Guess you missed the last eight years. Birthers? Tea Party? Benghazi? Beer Summit? Rev. Wright? Fox News? etc.

Trump FanBoys wanted the driver's seat - well you're in it now. This is how it goes in a FaceBook World. If your boy's skin
is too thin to take it, maybe he needs to step aside.

LOL. You already did and Obama got nothing done since the House changed hands . I learned my sense of tactics from the Tea party House. Obstruction wins seats. Its a simple story. First make it impossible for the President to get anything done, then blame him for not getting anything done. never allow him an opportunity to 'share' a bipartisan victory. Give no quarter and scream 'investigation' every time he uses more than two squares of toilet paper. Repeat and repeat and you will win Congressional seats.

Trump just makes this exceptionally easy. We just have to wait 15 minutes for him to self -destruct and call everyone's attention to it.

Birthers were out of line. One reason I voted for Johnson. Hillary was never under consideration.

Tea Party? They were the original opponents of the rescue of big banks in the subprime mortgage crisis. you're welcome.

Bengahzi? A scandal that Hillary tried to deflect with reference to a "racist video!" and for which she never, ever took the slightest responsibllity.

Beer summit? What about it? I like beer. Obama should have baked the cops.

Rev. Wright? "G.D. America!" He's all yours.

Fox News? What about it? Greta (gone now), Megyn Kelly went to war with Trump, Brett Baier and Chris Wallace are as fair as fair can be. You want a monopoly on the news industry? Sorry, you can't have it.

Etc.? What etc? You've got Huffpost, Daily Beast, and the Daily Kos. You want them all?

No, it's obvious that the press are bullying, and bullies always get their comeuppance, sooner or later.

He has been the most obnoxious and abusive candidate and President ever seen. He is a thug; he lies every few minutes, he incites violence and division and racism, he has attacked the foundations of democracy - the press, the courts, the election system, judges, all intelligence agencies. He is ignorant, arrogant beyond belief, and appears to lack the capacity for empathy. And he has led the country into chaos through his relentless misinformation campaign.

He deserves whatever he gets. And if he has done half of what I suspect he has done, this will include spending the rest of his life in jail.

It matters because of the psychology of the electorate. People like me who voted for Johnson will reflexively move towards Trump if they feel he is getting a raw deal from the snotty press, and that's how I see things right now. They are pushing a conspiracy/hacking/treason narrative and it's unfair because they don't show their proof, or name their sources, and they know that Team Trump cannot prove a negative.

Trump may be guilty as heck, of what exactly no one will tell me, but I'd like to see the evidence.

If? If a frog had wings ....

But humor me: what exactly do you suspect he has done? that will land him in jail "for the rest of his life"?

    I make you grand inquisitor.

I realize Trump has had life handed to him on a silver platter but why should it be any different for him than it was for other presidents? If his ego is so fragile, he should've never entered the brutal world of politics. He needs to scrap together the last vestiges of his manhood and walk it off as opposed to spouting off like some 8 year old with ADHD and a lot of free time.

Whether it's wrong or right can be debated until the cows come home.

It is, however, par for the course(a phrase that american presidents should be intimately familiar with, by the way). Being the president of the US is the most thankless job in the world. If something goes right, you'll have half the country trying to take credit for themselves, and the other half arguing that it actually went wrong. If something goes wrong, though, it's all on you. The president has very little actual power, but becomes the fall guy for everything.

But that's the way it is. Have you seen the kind of **** every single other president has had thrown at them? Quite a few of them have actually been shot, and they've all constantly been bashed relentlessly by the press.

Trump is being manhandled by the press, and it was never going to be any other way no matter who won the election. The president gets roasted by the press, get over it.

False equivalence doesn't become true if you post it over and over, but funny watching you try. 1% of the press and 5% of the population being birthers, and real things like Benghazi that needed investigation is nowhere in the same universe as what is done to Trump. Every administration suffers dissent, what is going on now is worlds apart and you damn well know it.

To the topic, they have decided to turn television near wholly Democrat as it is a dying media for dumb people, e.g., beneficiaries of redistribution, people who spend and consume unwisely. Those types of people want to see Springer-reality show type content and be told how victimized they are, giving them what they want keeps them buying Swiffer mops and calling TV lawyers, going to fast food and spending their food stamp money on sodas and candy. It's the next generation of television business model, and probably not a bad one as far as business is concerned.

The Complex wants you sick, fat, dumb, resentful, financially trapped, victimized, defenseless, etc. THEN YOU BUY MORE of their crap. Sound like fun? That's the DEMOCRAT/LW utopia, they just don't realize it because it is hidden under layers of placard talking points disguised as "social justice."

The "real" part is that Trump, much like Brownback in Kansas, TERRIFIES the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex because he threatens all their illicit fiat graft troughs. "Journalism" is part of MASS media, not elite media, and thrives on redistribution to masses. Ever wonder why so many soft drink ads on TV? ever wonder what % of food stamps is spent on soft drinks? What happens to soft drink profits if SNAP is reduced or reengineered? This is just one of THOUSANDS of possible examples, and explains EXACTLY the palpable derangement against Trump in the corporate crony capitalist media.

Are you denying that he set, and continues to set, the tone for his relations with the press and everyone else?
It's not a matter of making mistakes, or policy differences.
It's a failure of character and temperament.
Sadly, Trump seems incapable of growing beyond his puerile approach to life.
Until he grows up and starts acting consistently like an adult, he will not gain the personal respect and trust he craves.
I've known him for 40 years, and I don't think that he can change his character now, so things look bleak.

LMAO... Peddling the false equivalence that Trump and Obama have comparable character is indeed laughable.
Trump isn't fit to shine his shoes. Tell your great orange hope to grow up and start acting like the adult in the room instead of a petulant buffoon.

I don't say it's wrong. And I don't say it's unfair. It is, as you say, reality, and I think the press runs the risk of getting egg all over its face, and Democrats run the risk of getting him re-elected if he is cleared by Mueller.

Obama is a Statesman with impeccable character.

Trump is a buffoonish IMBECILIC clown act (whose election was the most EGREGIOUS MISTAKE in U.S. Electoral History.)

An IMBECILE (Like Trump) doesn't even deserve to be on the same planet with a Statesman like Obama.

Case closed. End of story. :salute:

The case will close only after Mueller's report is published and the election of 2020 is held. Trump's been counted out many, many times before.
