Some of these require a building license or registration. With the state... Some require nothing but experience.
    Lol.

Nobody ever proved this story is true. Why is the company not named if it is true. This is just another false urban legend that circulates on the internet.

Without a license, one can not design or prepare construction documents for a building and obtain a permit.

The laws vary in some areas of the country, but generally, anything large than a townhouse sharing 3 common walls must have an architect to design it. Many urban areas require an architect to building anything with occupied space.

Who do you think designs high rise buildings? Anybody that just wakes up one day and decides that is their calling with no experience?

    Ok. I'm done.

You think you know everything, yet are about as ignorant as they come. Everybody has a voice online, as painful as that may be.

Seriously, you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

Feel free to educate yourself, or don't. I don't care. Most intelligent people realize they have 2 ears and only 1 mouth for a reason, to listen twice as much as they talk. Clearly, you never got that lesson.

Contractors, sub-contractors. Fliping houses. Finishing basements.
    Plans? You mean blue prints.

Many students at Davidson College recently responded in anguish and outrage after some conservative students filmed a video asking people on campus if they would sign a petition to redistribute GPAs for the sake of “education equality.”

Many students refused to sign the petition, saying it wasn’t fair for a variety of reasons, including that people who earned their As should keep their As, and that students who are given good grades without hard work might not be inspired to improve.

But after students discovered later the petition was a hoax played on them by conservative students in an attempt to illustrate the unfairness of wealth distribution, they hastily called a teach-in at the campus union at which they denounced the effort and vented their frustration.

Some students said the fake petition made them struggle with feelings that they do not belong at Davidson, while others aggressively attacked the video, calling it “oppressive,” “illegally filmed,” and “inflammatory bullsh*t,” according to a video of the April 27 teach-in on Facebook.

Multiple students at the teach-in also made comments supporting both income redistribution and GPA redistribution, saying “life wasn’t always fair” and it’s “the right thing to do.” Others suggested that not forcibly redistributing income would give rich people the power to decide who lives and dies based off their charitable donation whims.

There are many companies and corporations that are highly desirable to work for. There are positions that are "dream jobs" that people would kill for. And once they get in, they are keenly aware of how much abuse the next contenders below them are willing to take to have the privilege of working there as well. Just like hazing fraternity pledges - the abuse is a reflection on the abuser, not the industry. It happens, I know people who have suffered under that kind of situation, and they happened to be working for successful liberals who were full of self entitlement. But it isn't wide spread, nor is it condoned.

That said - companies DO have CULTURES and kids need to learn to sense the business climate and respect the company culture. Formal dress standards are a way of projecting strength and success, as well as showing respect for coworkers and the company. I cannot understand the attitude that if something isn't one's particular style, they can just make the world change to suit themselves.

When you build your own business - you can have any culture you want. But it will be dictated by your clientèle; if you gross them out they'll spend their money elsewhere.

The company didn't have any use for community organizers.

They formed a Complaint Group. Should have formed a "Work Harder" group.

Who needs their bullshit, once again? They underestimated how annoying and insulting they were, and overestimated how valuable they were. PERIOD.

Why should those with bad grades suffer the privilege of those with good grades? How's that fair?

Some are criticizing the company for putting so much emphasis on clothing. You know who else does that? The U.S. military. You could ask if it's really necessary to have shiny boots and perfectly buttoned shirts just to learn to shoot at people. The military will answer yes it is and they'll give you a dozen good reasons why.
That company wanted their people to look professional and they get to decide what that means, not some interns. They should have been fired. I'm glad that were fired.

At my employer we have many interns and they are so well selected most are subsequently hired and many advance and gain higher positions and greater responsibilities.

Internships involve more than just cheap office assistants. Where I work human resources identifies specific skills needed, seeks interns with that training, identifies among competing applicants those most suited and hires them for tryouts. We don't get a bunch of interns suddenly, different departments (accounting, logistics, production, sales...) get specific interns when needed, and I'm amazed at how many of them I find rising through the ranks a couple of years later.

In previous jobs I remember interns arriving in batches, they were exploited, one in a dozen might get hired, they knew this (and which one of them was getting the offer). Most where there to gain exposure to their field, learn specifics of the trade, acquire jargon and make connections. They did their time, got good references and presumably good jobs.

What the left does is so often seeming parody that most can't distinguish.
