    Hi all,

    I am a 20yr veteran of the USAF/Ohio Air National Guard. Since then (for 22yrs so far) I've been driving a semi-truck. I grew up dirt-poor in the projects where a slice of fried bologna was the complete dinner. I pretty much raised myself from an 8 year old.

    I guess if I was to categorize my political philosophy, it would be as a hard-right libertarian (just a guess).

    I don't know how much I'll be posting here, as I am a regular poster on two other, one is not political, sites. I won't limit myself to useful contributions, though. I would, after all, like to make SOME posts.

    FYI
    Black Listed writers were involved and the cast hunkered down after the release believing they would be called to the House of Un-American Activities Committee or some such lunacy.

    Speaking of Black Listed, so was Grandpa Walton, Will Geer. That's why the middle of his career isn't there.

    The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming could well use a re-release in theaters.
    Embiggen the American consciousness about Russia.


    BTW have you given any thought to :flagcanada: Free Ride on American working people or :flagcanada: unscrupulous trade practices involving gov't subsidies? Can you remember any President before Trump taking them on? If you hadn't heard, we are finally at war with :flagcanada: Sadly only a trade war but, it's a start.

    Welcome welcome, don't worry about making useful contributions as none of us rarely accomplish that feat.

    That being said there are some awful smart people here and I like to think I have become a slightly less ignorant man for being on this forum..

    If nothing else I have learned how stark raving mad progressive liberals are of which we have many.. Not many far right but they around too

    Welcome. I find your movie avatar interesting.

    As you might know, Hollywood has been crawling with Communists almost since Hollywood began. "The Russians are coming..." movie was a good propaganda film that helped cover for the countless atrocities of the Soviets and their continued brutal occupation of East Europe.

    Someone asked the question "what would you do if you found a scorpion in your tent?" to members of the different branches of the military, and these are the responses he got:

    Army said, "I'd step on it."
    The Navy guy said, "I would crush it with the heel of my boot."
    Then Air Force said, "I would call room service, tell them to take it away, then ask why there is a freaking tent in my hotel room."

    No worries. We all get tired of the constant bickering, I think.

    When I've just about had it with the political bickering, I just post in the off topic threads or I sometimes choose to not post at all. Like lately, I've been kind of sick of message boarding.
