Oh yes, they now know they will have to do something to get the price of energy down so they will be able to compete with the US.

I've seen it time and time again with people. Parasites try to suck you dry as long as you let them and it's never enough. But once you put your foot down and say no more they get real angry at the loss of all that free money. They will blame you for their troubles and tell everyone else what a dirty SOB you are. I see the same applies to countries.

I heard the major of Pitt is on the Bloomberg bandwagon. So how exactly is that going to work? They going to put a special 20% tax on what little business they have left in the city and pass it along to the EU? Let's see how well that works out for them. Sooner or later these windbags should be brought up on sedition charges.

Lol...Such broad spectrum ignorance. California has the 6th largest economy in the world, so it does more to prop up the rest of the US than all the red states combined.

[IMG] That reminded me of the days when every loony-left London borough had boundary signs declaring (for example) 'London Borough of Walthamstow - You are now entering a nuclear-free zone.' And at the entrances of every loony-left town hall were notices announcing 'Gays work here - get used to it.'

trump proudly proclaimed, he "was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris".

The Mayor of Pittsburgh said, "It's now up to cities to lead," before adding, "As the Mayor of Pittsburgh, I can assure you that we will follow the guidelines of the Paris Agreement for our people, our economy & future."

And with that, along with loads of other business leaders stepping forward, Trump is achieving everything we need to without having to give money to India or China. Who's the moron again?

I have no issues if cities/states want to uphold standards to the Paris accord. I'm just glad we're not longer binding ourselves to it as a nation just to appease some globalists in Europe.

Further proof that the over bloated federal govt is not needed to make every little decision for you.

If I was in Trumps position I would have said that we would make good on our environmental goals and just stopped paying other countries to upgrade their own power generation systems.

NFL. Not for long. Go ahead and pass that single payer healthcare bill and keep working on the choo choo to nowhere. We will have to build a border wall on California to keep all the taxpayers from trying to escape to the normal part of the USA.

    Trump, obviously. Clearly.

Only 17% of Americans (they must all post here) wanted out of the Paris Accord. City and state leaders like the mayor of Pittsburgh have to basically announce to the world that Trump is an idiot who only represents a small minority of Americans on the topic of climate change. What an embarrassment.

Right-wingers couldn't dream of producing a state as desirable and innovative as California, so they eternally pray for its imminent demise. Lol, what patriots!

California will show you how it's done. Don't you worry.

So, has Bloomberg ponied up the $BILLIONS to give to Red China, India, etc., which will miraculously alter the climate?

Didn't think so. Another Big Activist...as long as it's SOMEONE ELSE'S MONEY.

How bad does your arm hurt from all that reaching you're doing?

The Columbine shooters had no political affiliation, too young. Blaming the parents = Fail.

Jared Loughner's online diatribes were characteristic of a right-wing extremist. Double fail.

The Aurora and VT shooters had no political affiliations of any kind. There's no evidence that Cho Seung Hui sent hate mail to Bush. Triple fail.

The Fort Hood shooter was a Muslim, but not a registered Democrat. Islamic extremists are decidedly right-wing anyway (anti-gay, anti-women), hardly liberal.

The number of right-wing hate groups dwarf those on the left. It's not close.

    Who are the morons?
People who believe coal is still a viable source of fuel for electric companies.
People who deny the validity of AGW.
    People who deny science.

The people who think we should pay China to clean up their smog. Yes. Morons.

Morons also don't realize that if Trump just motivated people to go greener without spending a federal dime, he is truly smarter than them.

America’s first victory in battle against climate alarmism.

Trump’s remarks were exceptionally detailed on economic as well as technical matters, and he clearly spelled out the need to #ClimExit. They were peppered with asides that highlighted his concern for American workers.

Compliance with the terms of the Paris Accord and the onerous energy restrictions it has placed on the United States could cost America as much as 2.7 million lost jobs by 2025 according to the National Economic Research Associates. This includes 440,000 fewer manufacturing jobs — not what we need — believe me, this is not what we need — including automobile jobs, and the further decimation of vital American industries on which countless communities rely. They rely for so much, and we would be giving them so little.

He offered specifics on exactly why this agreement, signed by President Obama, was extremely unfair to this nation.

China will be allowed to build hundreds of additional coal plants. So we can’t build the plants, but they can, according to this agreement. India will be allowed to double its coal production by 2020. Think of it: India can double their coal production. We’re supposed to get rid of ours. Even Europe is allowed to continue construction of coal plants.

Trump revealed real, unfiltered data related to global warming:

Even if the Paris Agreement were implemented in full, with total compliance from all nations, it is estimated it would only produce a two-tenths of one degree….Celsius reduction in global temperature by the year 2100. Tiny, tiny amount. In fact, 14 days of carbon emissions from China alone would wipe out the gains from America — and this is an incredible statistic — would totally wipe out the gains from America’s expected reductions in the year 2030…

What was my favorite part of this address? While there were dozens of gems (I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris), I truly savored the way he ripped the Green Climate Fund for the redistributionist inanity it is.

The Green Fund would likely obligate the United States to commit potentially tens of billions of dollars of which the United States has already handed over $1 billion — nobody else is even close; most of them haven’t even paid anything — including funds raided out of America’s budget for the war against terrorism.

How can I comfortably assert that the Paris Accord Address will go down in history as an exceptional speech? The media reaction has been apoplectic and apocalyptic! For example, within an hour, the Los Angeles Times had published 4 separate articles deriding this move, including one that asserted President Trump was acting against the recommendations of his generals.

I had some fun trolling the Los Angeles Times Facebook post today that reported California’s governor saying that our state is “ready for battle”.

So Elon Musk is pulling out of the Presidents business Council. Would that be the same Elon Musk who sells cars to rich guys that wouldn't be built without government subsidies of around $16,000 per car?

So then Elon will want to withdraw from all those taxpayers funded subsidies too? Well, I am for that. Unless Elon is a hypocrite, that is.
