Makes me wonder where the "corporate partners" get the money to fund the NRA.

The American Dream (and yes it IS a joke)

Your whole life, all you've ever wanted was to own your own farm.
You have no money and no assets and your parents are struggling to keep their heads above water as it so they can't help you.
No matter, you're a hard worker and know a lot about cows so you decide you'll go to work for Old Man Withers down the road milking his four cows.
At the end of the week, you have enough money to buy a two gallons of milk and save nothing.
But it doesn't matter...you're just starting out and in America all you have to do is work hard.

The next year, the price of milk goes up so Old Man Withers buys two more cows so now you're doing fifty percent more work but can only afford to buy one gallon of milk. But, it's ok. You just need to work harder.

The next year, the price of milk goes up again. So, Old Man Withers buys an additional two cows and then gives the farm to his son, Junior Withers. Junior Withers has never been out in the barn nor has he ever had any real interest in farming, but hey, it's a free farm, right? Meanwhile, you're now doing twice the work but can only afford a half gallon of milk a week. You still haven't been able to save anything.

The next year, milk goes up again. Junior Withers doubles his herd AND buys a milking machine. He fires you and rehires you to clean the milking machine...part-time. You get another part time job cleaning out horse stalls at Old Man Kelsey's place. So now, you're working more hours, making less money and can only afford a half gallon of milk every other week.

One day, Junior Withers shows you a cartoon that says:

Capitalism
You have two cows.
Sell one. Buy a bull.
The Herd multiplies.
You retire on the profits.​

You try to explain to Junior Withers that that isn't always the case and are accused of feeling entitled and being lazy. And that you could have your own farm if you were willing to put in the work.
