    Jeronimo Yanez was also cleared of two lesser charges in the July traffic stop in Falcon Heights, a St. Paul suburb. The jury of seven men and five women deliberated for a bit more than four days before reaching a verdict in the death of Castile, who was shot just seconds after informing Yanez that he was carrying a gun.

    are we in for more riots and looting? this should get interesting

    I never saw the other side of the story from LEO POV. Just the Facebook thingy.

    Safe to assume that the jury did see both sides and made their decision with more info than we have been provided with.

    Or dam good lawyering.

    Telling a cop you have a gun and then start reaching for things is the right thing is it? Oh well dang guess that cop is just a big bully.

    IMO Castile was sending out enough vibes to justify a shot, but a more experienced officer might have given it another second or two.

    Just another reason to not abuse substances while driving.

    Can someone produce a copy of Castile's CCW permit please? From what I hear....there is zero evidence besides the claim in the video he had one.

    I think they are too afriaid to riot while trump is in
    not so sure though. they knew obama would let them get away with it, they might be too afraid of trump.

    Cops always get away with killing black people. It's really a waste of time to even put them trial since the verdict will always be "not guilty". It's a legacy of slavery and the old slave patrols who chased down runaway slaves and abused or lynched them. Now they just shoot them and say "I feared for my life" and it's all good.

    Iggnorance to the max here huh? All of these blacks who are getting shot and killed by the police that are covered by the meda, what is the common factor? They're not listen to lawfull commands, or the resistsnt or the put the officer in a postion where they feel threated.

    I only remember 2 things from the video.

    1. The girlfriend seemed way too calm. Not like she was in shock, but clinical.

    2. The cop was damn near breaking down screaming "I told him to keep him hands on the wheel" or something to that effect.

    As far as I know, no audio from the stop has ever been released.


    As to him being fired, he should have been. There was certainly a lack of judgment there. With bystanders in the car, the cop should have waited to fire until he was left with no choice.
