Hopefully, the Russians and Chinese will do the same with various
    Latin American nations.

Military bases are scattered on a 1950 geopolitik and technology of that time.
Reduce foreign military bases and consolidate some for the 21st Century.
Stop Not At War, Wars. Require a draft for deployments over 9 months to any area.
Then see how many quagmires the politician leave us stuck.

:flagus: Warism is beyond reason
aside for some Inc.s profits. Hint: Boeing. Lockheed.

funny how we in the us got all bent out of shape with cuba in the early 60s, when russia wanted to set up some missile their, but the us marines are setup and ready to roll just a hop away to cross the Russian north border from Norway [IMG] and the us cant see they are doing a similar thing

Last I checked Norway was in Nato, it shares a border with Russia, so there's a need to keep an eye on the russkis, in case they stumble into neighbors backyard!

It is duty of my country's ambassadors to notify that foreign forces present near our border destabilise the situation, not welcome and that any violation of our borders and agression would be dealt with accordingly. This is not first time NATO attempts to show off near our borders, and as before - this is not impressing anybody.

In the 60's during the Cuban missile crisis the Soviets attempted to position nuclear missiles on the island of Cuba, 90 miles from the US mainland. The deployment of Marines to Norway, a NATO ally, does not involve nuclear weapons.

    Therein is the substantial difference.

    Cheers,

Why would this mark the beginning of a Third World War? Do you think Russia is going to attack Norway?

Something like in Ukraine, LDPR, where russian regular army personnel cross over, to deliver"humanitarian" supplies to their stooges in Donetsk? Or are they on "vacation"?Same as in Georgia? What's about those russian"peacekeepers" in Moldova(Bessarabia)?

They tried in cuba back in 62, Nicaragua allegedly in 80s, when Ortega was there. Stalin tried to reach English channel back in 49, Berlin wasn't enough for him back then, that's when Berlin airlift took place, and was wake up call, russkis had over 400000 troops there whereas US downsized to around 30000.

But when Americans go to assist Norway it's the start of WWIII. The problem is that most of these people listen to MSM, despite their notoriety for fake news, or of not reporting some very important international news.

That would be Mexico's decision. As long as Russian assets stay on the Mexican side of the border, no problem.

When USA sends soldiers to Norway - you get warned. And people who do not wish for more tensions between countries - do not approve that. What is your problem with that?

And what, you ENVY the accusations my country receives? Want some too? Or think that WHATEVER americans will do they will NEVER get screwed by mass media?

Warned? Who really cares? The US is there, Norway wants them, so all is right with the world.
Not quite certain what this means.

This is a F@#KING JOKE right???

We send a few Marines to Norway and then the Russian Embassy calls this a....
    destabilizes situation in the North???????

    JOKE!!!!!

If the United States wanted to we could wipe out the entire Russian Conventional Military in a matter of a few days!!

But Russia was our WWII ally and they have Nukes so that is not going to happen plus the U.S. has ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to do it!!

    JOKE!!

True, the Nato countries ratified US presence in their countries and usually unanimously agreed upon, whereas with the Russians, they simply invite themselves"in", regardless what the others say/want/think, big difference.

You should care, it is your country who currently creates additional tensions with mine. On OUR border.

This means the more agressive US acts, the bigger will be consequences, among other countries, and among your own population. Ask your neighbours how they like to pay for having more soldiers dispersed over the world, teasing nuclear wielding countries. I am sure they are simply extatic to pay more taxes for bigger military budget to have MORE dangerous life and less safe future. Duck'n'cover excersises are so exciting.

Does not looks like reliable evidence to me, international community, and international court of justice - do not hear Ukraine having any upper hand in their case there.

People not oblieged to agree with you without persuasive arguments.

John McCain said back in Dec. 2016 that the Russian hacking\intrusion into the election was an act of war.

That's before we found out how far the Russians got into our voting system. If it was an act of war back then, what is it now?

Yes, but if they for some reason cross our border - we will bury them here. And that is, pretty much, what our politics said, and pretty much not an unexpected thing.

Point is - USA keeps squeezing more cannon fodder in countries around our border, and I am surprised US citizens keep approving that. And not for last two years, not since 2008, but the whole time, without any sort of stop. This whole part of world drastically changed, and you still act like you are fighting cold war with Soviet Union. Maybe this is time for you to let go of red scare and imperialistic behaviour?

Yes, well nothing looks reliable if it doesn't fit your narrative, there's been other postings here with evidence, you just simply choose to ignore it, or pass it off as some sort of propaganda, against" my country", sniffle, sniffle.
