I've just had a thought. Yes, I do think now and again; I sometimes wish I didn't! But to come to the point: bearing in mind the undeniable and seemingly unstoppable increasing rate of male homosexuality, maybe it's nature's way of culling us to keep down the world population, or even as a way to wipe us out altogether?

 

The theory has been put forth that homosexuality is a natural mechanism towards population control. Which would imply that the religious zeal for not only prohibiting homosexuality, but all but requiring procreation, was bypassing nature's mechanism against overpopulation. And since all the natural controls are made by God.....

I doubt that the intent is to wipe us out, though. Additionally, there is no evidence that homosexuality is on the rise as opposed to simply not being hidden any more. Using the numbers for example's sake, if the gay population was a consistent say 5% of the overall, but less than 1% admitted or were caught, then once it was acceptable enough not to hide being homosexual, the numbers would seemingly rise, when in fact they remain the same. Now that is not to say that there won't be some who experiment or even initially submit to perceived peer pressure and try it, but if they are not gay then they won't stay with it. Despite the lunatic rantings of some, the message today is not "become gay". It's "be true to who you are and only you can decide that".

 

Has there ever been a survey on it? If there were to be then I'd bet there'd be plenty of evidence it's on the rise, and big-time too!
