Khmer rouge tactic. Destroy all remnants of the history of the civilization you're bent on destroying. Declare the day you assume power "Day 1" and control the narrative from that day forward. Guess that's why they place the emphasis on "progressive" Democrat / Socialist ... whatever.

No it is not as the OP does not say the left and ISIS are the same, but rather have a similar practice in regards to historic monuments they believe are evil or wrong. However, factually the practice is not the same as "the left" is not "destroying" monuments. They are having them removed from government property. ISIS blows them up. There is a BIG difference. Personally, I think posting on the forum that you reported someone - which you do often - is flame bait. Reporting someone is one thing, Posting big bold notice you have done so is another. On some forums, this is recognized and results in an infraction as threatening to or declaring you have reported someone is inherently flame bait and does not address the thread topic.

former Communist states of Eastern Europe have removed MANY monuments and statues dedicated to Stalin, Lenin, Marx, etc. is that a bad thing?
I think it is. The Egyptians had slaves and their monuments were made by slave labor treated horrifically. Would it be a bad thing to remove them? Clearly, we should move the White House off of government property, don't you think? Or at least painted a different color.
