Why do liberals think its so terrible to live in a white country?

I think that equality and mediocrity are interchangeable here- we must all be equally mediocre, then there will be none above you to be jealous of or blame for your lesser position.
There will be none below you to curse you for your upper position, or to be denigrated as poor. There would be no racial differentials, so we won't have racial discrimination.
No rich, no poor. This is the ideology.

Of course, there would also be no excellence, no visionaries, none who think outside the box because those people are the evil ones who make others victims.

The reason I asked this question is because most white people who are for diversity do so because they live in mostly white areas and as such are protected from the negative effects of diversity.

I wouldn't go that far. Over the years I've seen more than one New York Times column that explains that everything wrong with Japan can be fixed with immigration, just like the US was fixed. I doubt the Japanese feel any real pressure to listen to the New York Times, but immigration would take care of inherently Japanese problems like this:

I would agree that it's ridiculous not to observe that based on IQ, and other factors in the US, like education, income, marriage rates and so on, that North East Asians are superior. Certainly in every important category, they beat whites at their own game in the states, but I don't hate whites or any other group. I'm just noticing!
