Flynn was discussing the lifting of US sanctions with the Russian Ambassador in December of 2016. I'd call that "political favors" by the newly elected president for the assistance provided by Putin that could include tens of millions of dollars laundered by Manafort that originated with Putin and then was funneled into the Russian funded Ukrainian Party of Regions before managing to be used to fund the Trump campaign through PAC's or by other means.

Collusion evidence exists, huh? So where is it (other than in the Demos herd and their minds) and who was colluding. [IMG]

Sure. So does the Loch Ness monster ... I've seen pictures. Mueller BTW hasn't even offered us any grainy black and white photos of his proof. Mueller is like a failed explorer. Off in search of Nessie, he's trekked into the Andes. He might find Yeti's footprints, but that's not what we're looking for.

Who? You mean Comey and Mueller? How are these "two of the most honorable men" by any measure? They both actively worked to ensnare folks, are unable to actually produce a conviction on the original complaint, and revert back to demonstrating some kind of conspiracy to obstruct as their only marketable option. That isn't honor, that's bullying using an office of the government.

Neither of these guys are especially honorable. They're bullies.

Sure. There's all kinds of evidence to support that claim. Let's have Kislyak testify to his quid pro quos. Give him a chance to implicat Ruth Bader Ginsberg, or Clarence Thomas. You've gone all in on nothing but wild speculations. Failing.

Trump Jr, Manafort, and Kushner went to the meeting with the Russian lawyer explicitly to obtain the information from the Russian government. To hell with the emails. The actual meeting took place where Trump Jr, Manafort, and Kushner went to the meeting to obtain information provided for by Moscow in violation of the campaign laws.

We also know that neither Trump Jr or Kushner would have gone to that meeting without first discussing it with Donald Trump. What was being promised was too huge to ignore. The meeting itself was attempted collusion. We even have evidence that Trump knew exactly what the meeting was about. The day before the meeting Trump even publically promised that he would have damning evidence against Hillary Clinton that he would disclose in the days to come. Trump didn't receive the information that he believed to be a "sure thing" because the promise was coming from his Russian business partner in Moscow so Trump didn't have any damning information to reveal and so Trump never revealed anything to the public.

Trump is a crook and a con artist that's been lying about his Russian connections and business dealing since Day One. He's been attempting to derail the investigation and has disparaged it at every turn because he covering up his own reprehensible actions of the past. How anyone can still stand up for Trump's lies and deceptions only shows how low some people are willing to go to support a crook.

Once again the desperation and flailing is all on your part.

The evidence of collusion exists as does the evidence of Manafort being tied into money laundering with the Russians.

When they said he was expanding his "investigation" to look at business dealings decades ago, it became clear to me that this was not an "investigation". It is merely democrat opposition research ahead of the 2018/2020 election cycles. Wouldn't it be ironic if the Russians gave Mueller information that the democrats used against Trump in 2020?

The evidence provided to date establishes collusion with the Russians.

Right. Though you can't support those allegations. BTW, Mueller hasn't made those allegations himself yet ... nothing but wishful thinking.

Did you just make this up? Apparently so because both Mueller and Comey have impeccable records in law enforcement.

We can also note that not all criminal complaints (indictments) result in a conviction. The burden of proof is on the government and the evidence must be "beyond a reasonable doubt" under our criminal justice system. Neither Comey or Mueller have resorted to using conspiracy theories to excuse any of their actions in law enforcement. The only conspiracy theories I'm aware of are being propagated by the "right-wing" that are masters when it comes to creating conspiracy theories.

For example the conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton violated the law by having classified emails on her private server. That was disproven by Director Comey in his statements to Congress where he revealed that none of the emails on Hillary Clinton's private server contained the "branding" of classified material that's necessary to establish a criminal complaint against her. Or the conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton nefariously deleted emails from her private server that contained State Department communications. Hillary Clinton did not review or delete any emails from her private server. She delegated that task to a third party (her attorneys) that used "search" criteria to identify State Department emails and then the attorney's office deleted those emails that were identified as not being State Department emails and could be deleted under the law. The FBI found nothing nefarious or criminal about the actions of the attorneys in their attempt to properly identify all of Clinton's State Department emails and preserve them.

Donald Trump Jr, Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya, a Russian attorney known by US intelligence agencies to be an agent of the Russian government, in an attempt to obtain official Russian documents that would incriminate Hillary Clinton was an act of attempted collusion with the Russians. The fact that the documents promised were not provided does not change the fact that it was attempted collusion by the Trump Campaign and the Russian government. Donald Trump was unquestionably aware of the purpose of the meeting and was unquestionably responsible for determining the three senior campaign members (Trump Jr, Manafort, and Kushner) designated to attend the meeting.

The fact that Jared Kushner failed to list this meeting as well as the purpose for the meeting on his White House security clearance application was an act of perjury.

Alan Dershowitz on Russian collusion investigation: There is nothing criminal here.....

Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz on special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into allegations into collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign......snip~

    https://finance.yahoo.com/video/alan-dershowitz-russian-collusion-investigation-130348615.html

Special Counsel Robert Mueller will surely be looking into the meeting between Donald Trump, Jr., and a Russian lawyer named Natalia Veselnitskaya. Part of the meeting was also attended by Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, and Paul Manafort, who at the time was running Trump’s campaign. It now seems clear from the emails that the Trump people went to the meeting expecting to be given dirt on Hillary Clinton from the Russian government. The question remains, if this is all true, is it criminal?

The first issue that must be addressed by Mueller is whether any existing criminal statutes would be violated by collusion between a campaign and a foreign government, if such collusion were to be proved? Unless there is a clear violation of an existing criminal statute, there would be no crime.

Obviously if anyone conspired in advance with another to commit a crime – such as hacking the DNC – that would be criminal. But merely seeking to obtain the work product of a prior hack would be no more criminal than a newspaper publishing the work product of thefts such as the Pentagon Papers and the material stolen by Snowden and Manning. Moreover, the emails sent to Trump Jr. say that the dirt peddled by Veselnitskaya came from “official documents.” No mention is made of hacking or other illegal activities. So it is unlikely that attendance at the meeting violated any criminal statute.

That is why the entire issue of alleged collusion with, and interference by, the Russians should be investigated openly by an independent nonpartisan commission, rather than by a prosecutor behind the closed doors of a grand jury......snip~

Yet, we didn't address their delusion and fantasy that people are panicking and flailing arms wildly. Once we do.....then we will have proven it is the leftness. Of course we will need to throw in finger pointing, pulling their hair out, while making accusations after accusations even while moving the goalposts numerously. While wearing full sheets of tinfoil. [IMG]

They insist this isn't any indication of Muellers desperation. Let's think a minute. Mueller is going to coerce a confession to collusion, or even treason as some suggest, by threatening him with money laundering, or tax evasion? This is all about Muellers ego, and batting average. Looks like he's willing to settle for anything just to preserve his image.

The real issue with these guys is their obvious bias. Mueller has financial ties to the Clintons. When assessing "honor" that seems to be a disconnect.... Perhaps mr Mueller's time would be better spent unwinding the Clinton pay for play debacle...

No, the discussion is about whether Kushner should have a security clearance since he participated in a meeting which he was told was going to be with an agent of the Russian government who had dirt on Hillary. Whether it is stricktly legal or not is irrelvant. It suggests poor judgement of the sort that is a security risk.

Furthermore, months later he actually suggested to the Russian Ambassador that members of his team (including one who was an agent of a foreign government at the time) come to the Russian Embassy and share information over FSB encription.

Only in Trump la la land, would anyone even thinking of doing something like that have a security clearance.
