Omitting logic from considerations facilitates the formulation of solutions.

In other words, you want to go back to 2008!

It amazes me to see people still think this rubbish.

And in thread after thread, you have been shown how utterly ridiculous are your assumptions.

It looks as though Trump, McConnell and Company are attempting to fix stupid with even stupider. If Trump was smart, he would hire Old Mitt Romney to work with both Republicans and Democrats in congress to write a bill which would pass the Senate 75 -25. One that would actually do what Trump promised which was : "a healthcare bill that will assure excellent health care to all Americans at a fraction of the cost"...Now that would be great! The best ideas from both sides of the aisle and compromise instead of idiotic gridlock...If Trump could use his bully pulpit to lead in such a way, he could end up being a hero.

lol, we were ranked 37th prior to the ACA. None of the quality of our care has been diminished under the ACA. Care was not affected in any way under the ACA.

Single payer systems are demonstrably superior to ours, as evidence by every other first world country that is ahead of us.

You know, the GOP was against the ACA from the very beginning, and have done everything in their power to try to get rid of it. When it was finally passed, one of the sneaky tricks the GOP used was to get the Republican governors of states to not accept the Medicare expansion, which was one of the main places of strength for the ACA because it had a larger pool. The GOP governors refused the expansion, which is why there are problems with it now. And, instead of writing in a whole bunch of tax cuts in the healthcare bill, they should have left those alone and just passed healthcare, it would have been a hell of a lot easier to get it through. They could have left the tax cuts for when they do tax reformation.

Hate to tell you, but the baby boy is already brain dead, and while the treatment might be able to heal his body, it's never going to be able to reverse brain death and the resulting brain damage that has happened. The kid will be a vegetable for the rest of their life.

That is what the medical doctors treating him said. Nope, I don't have a medical degree, but when someone who does tells me something like that, I tend to believe them. How about you? Did you graduate med school?

why would I leave? We will have single payer here in the US within 10 years.

as opposed to telling the same thing to the insurance companies who do this on a daily basis here?

Please don't pretend that you don't know that insurance companies won't pay for experimental treatment.

What is really amazing is to see people with nothing to contribute other than baseless garbage comments like that.

To be fair, I believe that Republicans would want to allow companies to turn away people with pre existing conditions, but they realize that the voting base simply wont stand for it. They support pre existing conditions as part of health coverage only for their own political survival.

    lol, what?????

Republicans have been bitching and moaning and pretending to vote to repeal it since it was incepted. They are in total control of government. they have controlled congress for 2 years. Why have they not repealed and replaced it? They should have had their plan ready, voted on and ready for the president to sign his first week in office.

I am tired of hearing both sides fighting each other on the repeal/replace Obomacare (ACA), why not hold the Money Grubbing insurance companies liable for increasing rates and cancelling policies to ensure their bottom lines coat the Billionaires pockets. Fix the bad parts of the ACA with bi-partisan ideas and move on to more important needed legislation. Infrastructure and Tax Reform for hard working middle class families that cannot bear more taxation, while the rich get richer on our broken backs are a couple needing attention. We have had 16 years of "DO NOTHING CONGRESSES" for middle Americans.

They never had a plan to repeal and replace because they knew as long as Obama was in office, if they actually did manage to pass a bill, it would have been vetoed.

The Republicans never had a plan to replace it. All they had was running against the ACA, and now that they have control of the House, Senate and the WH, they should be able to pass it.

    But...............they won't.
