There are some problems you fail to address. Hillary had a disproportional number of votes from a very small number of locations nation wide. NY and California, 3.9% of election nights events, netted her 17% of her votes. This disproportion is never explained by the failed pollsters. Do these pollsters not know how the electoral college works? No, the pollsters were dead wrong, they lied, they cheated, or were just incompetent and should not be trusted now until they can prove publicly that they have changed their failed methodology and can report honestly. There is absolutely no reason to believe that any liberal media poll is accurate, and apparently they don't care, as have taken no steps to improve polling or ensure equal failure doesn't recur...

Nothing in the link you gave me refutes the data I listed. Is the DCCC and Politico talking about National Polls? Are they talking about ABC, Gallup, IBD? They didn't specifically mention any of that.

The National Polls I'm using for Approval Rating were objectively correct for the 2016 election. I've proven this with actual numbers, which have yet to be countered.

You're giving me red-herrings, I'm asking for pure data and numbers.

National polls do not look at the electoral college. They look at the popular vote. These polls were highly accurate. There is reason to believe these polls were accurate because the facts show the results of the election matched within .1-3%, so they were quite literally correct. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ional-poll-in-the-2016-presidential-election/

If you think the polls in that link I just gave were inaccurate, please find counter-data. Not your arm-chair theories. I need citation directly showing me those National Polls in the link I just gave you were wrong.

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/214322/trump-sets-new-low-second-quarter-job-approval.aspx
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/page.../16/National-Politics/Polling/release_480.xml
    http://www.investors.com/politics/ibdtipp-poll-presidential-approval-direction-of-country/

The above polls show Donald Trump has the lowest approval rating in history for first two quarters. You're going to respond with "But polls are wrong", and I'm going to factually how you how these polls were very accurate in 2016, but you're going to keep going in circles because you know I've got your number.

Neither of you have linked counter data. With Numbers.

They were flawed at inception, national popular vote is meaningless.

Someone wasted a lot of money and effort, so incompetent it's a terminating offence.

    Off-Topic.

This is about Approval Polls, which use national polling, being accurate. National polls were spot on. There is zero data or facts to suggest the approval polls are off.

Ok, approval polls. Past performance suggests polls represent the conclusions that those who commission them want to show. In this you are correct, the polls are correct, they show the result they were paid to show.

Pointing out that democrats do not like Trump is not shocking to me, what does get my attention is the number of republicans who do not have much good to say about the man.

How many of the polls you cited overestimated Clinton? The DCCC may have counted them. ;-)

By .5-2.5% WITHIN margin of error. Making them VERY accurate, and correct.

The nation polls were extremely accurate. The approval polls are extremely accurate.

Trump has the lowest approval rating in history for q1/q2. Disprove with data or forever accept this fact.

There is no data suggesting this is the case for the 3 polls I listed.

In fact, the polls, with few exceptions, were so wrong that the DCCC has had to admit publicly that there is a "polling blind spot". Thoughout the election cycle the poll results were clearly manipulated (fabricated) to show that The Clintons were a sure thing. Why did they do that? Money? ;-)

“Federal Election Commission campaign-finance records show that top-level executives at some polling firms conducting presidential polls for major news agencies have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Democratic Party and to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in this election cycle. The volume and dollar amount of these contributions appear to vastly outweigh contributions made to Republicans and the Trump campaign.” Presidential Pollsters’ Political Contributions: Heavily For Hillary Clinton, By Leon Sculti, November 4, 2016.

You have to show me they are directly referring to the ABC, IBD, and Gallup polls.

Nothing in this post refutes the objective data(with numbers) I have offered which shows the current national approval pollsters were also on the mark for the 2016 election.

You're giving me vague quotes that do not mention specific polls or even National polls. I'm giving you conclusive data that shows concrete before and after error margins.

Nothing in your data contradicts anything from posts.
The polls were consistently wrong - even the DP and Clinton's pollster admits it. Adjust.

Well your posts aren't contradicting my original claim. So duh.

The polls were consistently wrong, Just not the specific polls I'm using :)

The same ones that everyone is citing to factually state Trump has the lowest approval rating in history for Q1/Q2. :)

I see. Save the following in case Nate Silver is not there for you in 2018.

“Inside scoop on Silver's forecasting model

“IN CASE I, NATE SILVER, DIE, FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO UPDATE THE FIVETHIRTYEIGHT ELECTIONS FORECAST MODEL” writes Tao Yang in McSweeney's:

-"Navigate to these coordinates (40.731014, -74.303500) on the night of a waxing moon. Bring a white goat. Once there you will see a keypad.”

-Enter the probability of a sample mean being two standard deviations from the population mean at a 95% confidence level.

-To enter the chamber where the model resides you must pass three trials: shouting out certain baseball metrics; find four stone tablets with a scatterplot etched on each and press the one with a correlation of 0.6; and then find an old Compaq desktop in the final of three chambers, turn it on and boot up to PokerStars with a $10 bankroll you turn into $10,000 to enter the final chamber.

Finally, select 'Update Model' and find an altar appearing behind you. "Chant the new poll results while performing a blood sacrifice with the white goat on the altar.”

Yeah I agree, I definitely don't like him and hate the words he chooses to use to get his message across.

But I still remember who he went against and how bad she was as well. In the end I still wouldn't vote for either of them, but how much the left is really calling him "evil" and whatever else is childish and pathetic IMO

    Trump's their worst nightmare:

The IRS Scandal, Day 1544: How Lois Lerner Begat Robert Mueller. Weird how neither Eric Holder nor Loretta Lynch appointed special counsels to investigate Obama Administration scandals, and the press never called them on it.

But now we need a special counsel — or two — to investigate the many Obama Administration scandals outlined by House Republicans. Since Democrat Attorneys General wouldn’t do it, will a Republican? Or are these investigations only for Republican administrations?

Sure. The Polls were perfect, CNN did a GREAT job predicting the election results! Atta boy CNN and MSM! Nailed it!

CNN still does not understand what hit them.

CNN's Fareed Zakaria promoted his special, "Why Trump Won," on CNN this morning.

He still does not get what voters see in President Trump. Nearly nine months after the election.

ZAKARIA: I think there are a few key moments in his life. The first is he began to realize the power of celebrity and the -- and the value of celebrity. I mean, you know, "The Apprentice" was the number one show. There were 28 million people watching it. I think that made him realize my God, this is powerful stuff. That's when he really gets out of the real estate business and goes into the branding business. But then he also starts feeling the currents of America in very much an intuitive way -- I don't think he had any articulated sense -- and he began to feel a few things. The anger -- the anger against politicians. Remember, he runs on the Reform Party -- he tries to run on the Reform Party ticket for a while and then he begins to see the toxic energy on the far right.

"Toxic energy on the far right."

How about the riots, lootings, and assaults by the violent left?

Zakaria then gave the racist argument that because Obama was black any criticism of him was racist.

ZAKARIA: And Trump knew that the election of a black president had stirred a kind of ugly racial animus among some people -- probably a small subset -- but he knew a way to get directly to them.So all of it combined and it was a man who met his moment. At the point at which Donald Trump is elected is literally the low point in trust for politicians in Washington. It's a 50-year low and that's when Donald Trump, you know -- so he got his timing right, which all great performers need.

It's a 50-year low because the politicians -- and the servile media class -- failed America.

ZAKARIA: I think the part of it that I was impressed by in doing the research for this is we know about the economics. We know about the hollowed out factories and the -- and the coal mines. And what I was struck by was the other two factors. So that's if you want capitalism.

ZAKARIA: The other factor is culture. A real sense of cultural alienation that the older white, non-college educated Americans have the sense that their country is changing because of immigrants. Because maybe blacks are getting -- rising up to a kind of central place in society. Because of, you know, gays being afforded equal rights. Because of, frankly, a lot of working women. You know, everybody is sort muscling in on the territory that if you think about it, the white working man had. And the final one is class -- social class. We don't talk about it a lot but the election of Donald Trump is really a kind of class rebellion against people like us. You know, educated professionals who live in cities who have, you know, cosmopolitan views about a lot of things. And I think there's a whole part of America that is sick and tired of being told what to do by this, you know, over-educated, professional elite that Hillary Clinton, in many ways, perfectly represented, and that's why they're sticking with him.

Black people who voted for Obama were not racists.

White people who voted for Hillary were not racist.

But somehow white people who voted for Donald Trump are racists???

Zakaria represents all that is wrong with CNN, Washington, and Hollywood.

He sees people by their color, their education credentials, and the like.

I agree that this is a class rebellion.

One between the elitists that are desperately trying to hang on to power -- and the working class whom the elitists let down.

Zakaria showed through his ignorance and prejudices that elitists are just not bright enough to understand the need to correct the course from time to time.

Not sure how to respond to this off-topic (to my data) jibberish, but I guess ill just say....okay?

    Cool?
The national polls actually were quite perfect, factually speaking.

These same polls now look at approval rating (which is a national poll), and show Trump at a historic low.

Polls are inaccurate. Everyone thought Hillary would win in a landslide based off of polls and early voting. She lost.

I could care less what a poll says about Trump's approval rating. I care about the job he is doing and what he is doing. I disagree with him on some things and other things I agree with him on. I fact check and do my research. Most people are brainwashed by the liberal media the Democrats control which is 90% of what you see and read. Everytime I read the Des Moines register which is not often they seem to have an Anti-Trump article. It's hard for people to approve of someone when the media is painting a false picture of the guy and many are to lazy to do any fact checking themselves. Liberals love to brainwash everyone into thinking the other guy is always doing a bad job. CNN is proof of this.

CNN colluded against Trump and for Clinton. They are scumbags with most of the media.

All of the below are hyperlinks to credible sources.

    - Clinton fed a Question by CNN - It's contained in the link by the BBC. (NY Times, Washington Post, etc... didn't cover it with any veracity or at all.)
    - DNC worked directly with the Clinton campaign against Sanders. (NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, etc... didn't cover it with any veracity or at all.)
    - NY Times Reporters advised the Clinton campaign directly. (NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, etc... didn't cover it with any veracity or at all.)
    - Clinton campaign given editorial control on stories about Clintons. (NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, etc... didn't cover it with any veracity or at all.)

This response would be consistent with your position: "The Democrat leadership - its politicians, advisors, consultants, pollsters, journalists, pundits et al. are all stupid ignorant jackass losers. Otherwise they would agree with my brilliant observation that the national polls were "quite perfect"." VC You should paste that up at the end of all your posts on polling. ;-)

Here is some more NYT, DP jackass stupidity for you to focus on:

“Data journalism in particular, including websites like The Times’s Upshot and The Huffington Post’s Pollster, was under fire after guiding audiences — often through visually appealing speedometer-type graphics that forecast the probability of winning — to the conclusion that Mrs. Clinton would prevail in electoral votes. On Tuesday, the meters went haywire. The Times’s Upshot graphic, for instance, moved from a high probability favoring Mrs. Clinton to a huge advantage for Mr. Trump, with readers left to guess what the dancing needle really signified. Can the Media Recover From This Election?”
