Thank god, people like you are not in charge. It's a shame you're still stuck in the past. Most sane people would prefer to deescalate, instead of increasing the chance of war with Russia.

Stop being dishonest, fasley labeling Russia our enemy is nothing more than advocating for war. Go live in the Cold War by yourself, don't try dragging the rest of the country along with the you, and your fellow chickenhawks.

You have no right to lie about me. Do you know me personably! No you do not! You obviously do not know or do not care what a chickenhawk is. I guess I need to infirm you. A chickenhawk is someone who never served in the military, does not serve now and never will serve. Yet the chickenhawks who never served are the first to want to send others to war. SincecI served I by definition cannot be a chickenhawk. DID YOU EVER SERVE IN THE MILITARY, I think not or you woukd not sink so low and accuse someone of being a chickenhawk.

SCOTUS isn't a "win" in light of obstruction perpetrated by the Republican.

Go cry me a river. And this coming from the RW that does not want to help our poor calling them LAZY. Russians are Putin's problem. Perhaps he should focus on his own economy instead of waging wars and sticking his nose in other people's business.

A "win" based on obstruction and rewriting of the rules isn't a win.

Trump signed into law Wednesday morning legislation that levies new sanctions against Russia and restricts Trump's own ability to ease sanctions in place against Moscow.

The Trump administration has shown its total weakness by handing over executive power to Congress in the most humiliating way. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

I have a question for the whole "Rah rah, I want war with the Russians, because we lost a election" crowd. When Trump was putting pressure on NATO, you folks were crying about how strong our alliances should be with Europe, and what not. Now how do you feel about Germany, and its EU puppets being against additional sanctions placed on Russia?

What you said. Now we'll see what Putin will do in response.

That does not matter. It is still unpreccidented in the history of US diplomacy, anywhere in the world.

Trump's silence on the matter speaks volumes, and was heard all around the world.

    Don't believe me?

Consider how the Russians punked him after he signed the sanctions bill.

My guess is that they're going to try and take it out in the EU, in the form of spot natural gas shortages and price increases. It wouldn't be the first time.

Additional sanctions are not a good idea. But Trump made this bed, so he is stuck with it.

This wouldn't have happened to Barack Obama, who would have had his leadership fight to water this bill down. The GOP doesn't trust their President anymore than anyone else does. His erratic and irresponsible behavior are gradually beginning to lead to Congress and the Courts curbing his power.

But we didn't expand sanctions (except on Iran, which was an unprovoked mistake).

Congress codifed the sanctions Obama inposed, and which the Russians thought Trump was going to get rid of.

But Trump's mismanagement of the Russia investigation controversy, and his generally untrustworthy and incompetent behavior emboldened Congress.

Which is bad for any President. Because now it'll be on for the next four years. And beyond. Once a precedent is set it's harder to go back.

Take for example Trump signing off on the Russian sanctions bill. He claims he signed it for the unity of the nation despite his reservations about the bill . That is a bunch of crock. He was forced to sign it because in a very rare bipartisan move it passed Congress by veto-proof margins. Vetoing the bill or letting it linger on his desk for another five days would have been a political disaster for him. Unity of the nation was simply another one of his lies.

Then there is the matter of his signing statements. In them he harshly criticized the bill he was signing. Russia retaliated by sending home 755 American diplomatic officials. Trump hasn't said a word about that.

So, he is critical of a bill passed by the U.S. Congress punishing Russia for her aggression and interference in our election, but he doesn't say a word when Russia sends home the Americans.
