With the departure from the White House of strategist Stephen K. Bannon, who helped shape the so-called nationalist-populist program embraced by Donald Trump in his unlikely path to election, a new phase of the Trump presidency begins. Given Trump’s nature, what comes next will hardly be conventional, but it may well be less willfully disruptive—which, to Bannon, had been the point of winning the White House.

“The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over,” Bannon said Friday, shortly after confirming his departure. “We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency. But that presidency is over. It’ll be something else. And there’ll be all kinds of fights, and there’ll be good days and bad days, but that presidency is over.”

Interesting. Is this a signal to his base that the party is over? Will he expand his base? Will he lose the existing one? A move toward more typical republican admins?

    Lmao.

The Trump Presidency was ALREADY "OVER" when that UNPREPARED IMBECILE took the oath on January 20th.

An Egregiously Unprepared Moron (like Trump), with no sense of honor and decorum (and completely lacking a moral compass) never had a chance.

If you think a lack of a moral compass is a good thing in politics, you haven't been paying attention.

You sold your principles to this schmuck, and you seem to be proud of it.

The right's "moral compass" has been busted for decades. It's not wonder people like you can so easily set it aside.

As a Trump voter I looked at my wife after I heard the news and I pretty much asked the same questions. Will have to wait and see what direction Trump leans before making my next decision. If he becomes part of the establishment swamp then I will depart ways with him and the Republican Party.

Tom, you've finally had to accept Hillary's pay-for-play antics in her SOS role. Using her public office for personal gain was unethical and illegal at any level.

Hillary's moral compass wasn't just broken, but it never existed. Its more than fair to acknowledge that Hillary is the most corrupt person to run for POTUS in recent memory. It's clear you were more than willing to sell your principles for Hillary when it fit your ideology. So where do these incredulous calls for ethics come from??

Do you really think that those who are for or against Trump are going to depart and embrace all the programs that the Democrats don't have to offer? I wouldn't be surprised that the next Presidential election will be the smallest turn out of voters, percentage wise, in a long time.
When it come's to people lacking a moral compass you need not look any further than your own party. Most people who support the Democrats are economic slaves to the system. It's hard to understand people who would rather be slaves to the Democrat leadership and government tit than to be free and want to support someone who wants to bring jobs and self respect to their community.

It's hard to understand how community's, led by Democrats, want to shelter rapists, drug dealers, sex trafficker's , murderer's, terrorists and other criminal types in their cities over the safety of it's citizens.

When it come's to a broken moral compass you need not look any further than the buildings where death is chosen over the sanctity of life.

The moral compass is shattered when you have a health care system choose who get's care and who doesn't. A Democrat plan that incorporates "death panels".

The moral low ground has been taken by Democrats in power who have decided to let their citizens become future drug addicts by embracing marijuana for the purpose of money for the state coffins, I mean coffers.

The left has shown how morally bankrupt they are by how they have embraced the shutting down of any opposing speech by those they disagree with. The biggest sin is the media is a part of it by their lack of speaking out.

There are two Americas, one that operates where all have a chance to succeed or fail and one that is a moral disaster and morally corrupt. These are the big cities that the establishment has let the poor blacks and poor whites and now illegal immigrants
live in sub standard conditions and keep the people down and dependent on them for support. All in the name of "Vote Democrat because we care about poor people" What a F**kin lie.
