My main point is that present-day White Nationalists and "racists" are not the same as historical, literal, actual Nazis, which some people seem to be confused about. By saying that WNs and racists are "nazis", people are trying to draw a false equivalency between them.

I don't think all of human history needs to be discarded just because hippy boomers grew up, got jobs, and enacted their agenda. They may think their perspective is the only one that matters, because they think they are special, but people are free to disagree.

 

It's a perspective based on rational discourse. Society improves over time because we're willing to analyze ourselves and be self-critical.

 

Society is not improving over time. That's merely your progressive, subjective viewpoint.

 

On calling others racists or the art of being a racist proudly

I see blacks proudly being racists. They divide by race lines. We are supposed to think a racist means you believe you are superior.

I could ignore the racist taunts, but Democrats constantly bring them up. And they hurl taunts as the Antifa hurls urine and feces at those they hate.

So back to my premise.

If you want to live in places such as Hitler had, Stalin had and Mao had, keep believing in Democrats.

They come up with hate laws. They want you so controlled you can't urinate at your own home without their permits on your toilets.

If a person wants to be a racist, and I can't talk him out of it, let go of it. It is not going to keep me awake all night long over what some person thinks of race. But Democrats, you need to clean your own perch since you are on it and are slipping off on the very excrement you have deposited to your own forums.

Yes, I did that. It was in the late 70's and after voting only for Democrats, starting in with JFK,. I woke up. I was too caught up by the Democratic party ideology. I studied. I really was not trying to quit being a democrat. But I evolved due to more education. I also put a whale of a lot of thought into why I had once supported Democrats. I later hung my head in shame they had so easily fooled me.

 

It doesn't matter. Because even being in the Congo today gives you a better chance at a quality life than being a Viking slave.

But why deflect? My point is that society improves. A rational person agrees.

You kind of nailed what it was like to be in the US Army due to the draft in my army era. I told my first sergeant one time in Germany that we lacked the rights held by the citizens for whom we would be called on to die for.

I turned 79 today. When I was a child, early in the 1940s, in this country we were in the days of WW2. Race was not mentioned at all when i was a kid. I never knew of the South nor slaves. I had no idea we locked up the Japanese.

I see society today as much more violent. Can any you recall riots due to WW2 in this country? I think we might have got close to some during Korea but can't think of any. We got to the riot stage during the Vietnam war. So go back to Vietnam to tell us how much things improved today. We now rip down statues since some of us get angry.

This war on statues will sooner or later also include wars on Washington, Jefferson and many more. We will see trucks used to yank down Martin King too.

I don't recall any race riots at all until in the 1960's as best as I can come up with.

 

It is not such that thoughts, beliefs and ideas from a bygone era must all be wrong.

I live in a western nation without a 'constitution', and many other european (Progressive riddled) countries don't have anything like it either. Yet we're not as bad in terms of civil unrest and between and by political sides.

Is it at all possible that America has so many problems because your brand of Progressive and Far Rightist are particularly hysterical? Our Progs are an abomination, as they are everywhere, but they don't really do much apart from post rainbow watermarks on FB. Our Far Right, likewise. They're lame ducks, and you'd be hard pressed to find one, much less know that's what he was via anything he said or did publically.
