I live in Lincoln Ne, and usually take in a Chiefs game in KC once or twice a year, but I will not be going this year I informed them until they have all their players stand for the National Anthem, I will not be attending.

IMO for some anti American fool that make a huge salary for playing a game, and then claim he is oppressed if totally ignorant.

I would encourage other football fans to write their local NFL teams and tell them that they will not be attending either. They dont need our oppressive money.

Your free not to go to a KC game just as the players should feel free not to stand for the national anthem.

When YOU stand for the National Anthem YOU'RE expressing an opinion.
Why should players be denied that same right?

I do encourage you not to go. More tickets for me and the Steeler faithful and fewer buttholes in the stadium.

Because that is not the place for them to express their opinion.

    This whole issue is STUPID!

Employers have no obligation to provide their employees a platform for any political statement. Especially one that creates a PR disaster.

If I was in charge of a team, I would not allow any political statements on company time. Instead, I would accommodate the employee by keeping him off the field until the anthem ended

Why do they even play the anthem at ball games anyway?

When does company time start? After the kickoff or before?

When they report to work, or represent the NFL in any way in a public medium.

You know, the same for every job.

And their organization doesn't say they have a problem with the players sitting.
But of course this is the same organization that is killing their own workforce.

    Really?

So it is inappropriate to stand during the anthem as well?

After all, standing is an expression of an opinion as well.

Or maybe what you mean is that it is inappropriate for them to express and opinion with which you disagree?

If they guy next to me can express his opinion, I can express mine.

Your problem is that you don't like the opinion so you want it suppressed.

    How very 1st of you.

And their actions are in no way a violation of league or team policy.

No, it won't. Not unless they rewrite the labor contract with the NFLPA.

Be careful what you ask for.
