notice that liberals always debate with cartoons while conservative/libertarians never do. What do we learn from this about the liberal IQ??

These were parables. Example: 'threading the needle' is an arabic phrase for getting a camel through the 'back door' (typically small enough for one person to walk through) of a walled city when it is under attack or threatened and the main entry gates are locked. Its a PITA, but its not as implausible as litterally liquifying an entire camel and straining it through a pinhole.

    Matthew 19 (the full context):

16 And lo, one having come near, said to him, `Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have life age-during?'

17 And he said to him, `Why me dost thou call good? no one [is] good except One -- God; but if thou dost will to enter into the life, keep the commands.'

18 He saith to him, `What kind?' And Jesus said, `Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness,

19 honour thy father and mother, and, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.'

20 The young man saith to him, `All these did I keep from my youth; what yet do I lack?'

21 Jesus said to him, `If thou dost will to be perfect, go away, sell what thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come, follow me.'

    22 And the young man, having heard the word, went away sorrowful, for he had many possessions;

    23 and Jesus said to his disciples, `Verily I say to you, that hardly shall a rich man enter into the reign of the heavens;

24 and again I say to you, it is easier for a camel through the eye of a needle to go, than for a rich man to enter into the reign of God.'

25 And his disciples having heard, were amazed exceedingly, saying, `Who, then, is able to be saved?'

26 And Jesus having earnestly beheld, said to them, `With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'

Or, to paraphrase... to be perfect, give everything to the poor. But perfection is impossible for man, which is why we are forgiven.

Charity is important, but poverty is not necessary.

Gimmie the part where he tell the rich man
to give up his wealth to the poor.

Moi's holds that is not very, Republican.

Should the wealthy, even those who came by it honestly,
    like inventing a better widget
be embarrassed or condemned or denied Heaven for it
like being a Straight White Person is condemned on Earth in :flagus: today?

    Clarity.

    Pass ample amounts of wine.

They did all get passing out drunk, didn't they.
Passover / Pesach does require 4 or 5 cups of wine.
    They had some big cups!

    Pass the clarity.

Jesus created and supported the individual. This is what Republicans do. Without Jesus there would be no Republicans.

    Disagree.
There is no evidence Jesus supported private property and personal wealth.
There are reasons to believe he did not.

Early Christian communities like the early years of the Mormons in Utah
did not have private ownership. Things were communal. Like :hippie: :hippie:
I may be wrong about the LDS.

    That's Moses, so he plagiarized.

How about the rich man to divest himself for the poor?
    And early Christian communities.

what's Moses and who plagiarized what?? Did you hear Jesus oppose ten commandments or any Apostles or any from early church oppose 10 commandments? Or does thou shalt not steal assume private property?

early Christian communities/monasteries in northern Italy are credited with starting capitalism and spreading it throughout Europe

Peter’s rebuke to Ananias in Acts 5:3-4 demonstrates that deception was the problem, not private property rights.

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” (emphasis added)

Peter’s statements assume private property rights and clearly state that the giving in the early church was voluntary, not compulsory. While Ananias owned it, it belonged to him, not to everyone, no one, the civil government, or the church. After he sold it, the proceeds similarly belonged to him.

LOL. How many American soldiers were killed by Dems, especially when compared to the treasonous Republicans? And remember how the right wingers condemned Obama's reducing of the American role in the ME. The right wing liars even pretended that this is what led to the rise of ISIS when it was the treasonous Republicans who created it.

Anyone who thinks Jesus would be a Republican doesn't know the first thing about Christianity.

No Republican today is acting like a Christian. It is logically inconsistent.
