Advocating the firing of these players (SOB's no less). Is it really a President's place, a defender of the US Constitution, to spout such nonsense??

What does that have to do with violating the Constitution? Should he have said it? Probably not, but he only said what many people were feeling.

It shows he doesn't believe in the freedom of speech, an ideal the Constitution support and the oath he took to defend. A president should not advocate the suppression of speech. That is for the private sector to decide how it deal with its own employees. It's clearly a violation of his oath of office even though he didn't pass any laws regarding it.

Just a side point, but it's interesting how Trump and minions mention the high pay all the time...like these guys should just be thankful and not complain or stand up for justice and freedom or speak out for what they feel is right or wrong in this country, as is their right...

meanwhile the loudest most obnoxious most dangerous (sonava) bitch in the land is an elite silverspoon celebrity billionaire!!

You obviously don't comprehend the meaning of freedom of speech. It's been explained time and time again on this forum. You either are incapable of understanding it or willfully choice to ignore it.

I understand it perfectly fine. Why does Trump, a member of the government, advocate the suppression of speech? You are wilfully avoiding answering this question. I never said anything about the NFL couldn't fire their players.

Let me put it this way. When Obama was talking about gun control, the RW went ape s**t. But now that Trump is advocating for the limitation of speech, you give him a pass.

I think this covers Trump's intention pretty well, from Fox News guy Shepard Smith!!

"It's very clear that for his base, this is the red meat of all red meat, because they're able to reframe this," Smith said. "They're able to say, 'oh, they're attacking the national anthem. They're attacking the troops, they're attacking the flag' — none of which they're doing. They're not doing any of that," he said.

"Isn't this all a play to his base and could it all possibly be so that they don't notice there is no healthcare and North Korea is the biggest mess since the Cold War?"

Trump may be an idiotic jackass, but he's a puppet master when it comes to his puppets.

He doesn't, he advocates consequences for a persons actions. Much like the left advocates violence for anything they consider hate speech, only he suggests legal actions.

Who are the puppets here? Trump bad mouths the NFL and the players and management go off their rocker. Trump supporters didn't take drastic action until the NFL puppets thought they were getting back at Trump when all they did was piss off the fans. Considering the stereotype the left thinks of Trump voters, I'd think a majority of NFL fans voted for Trump. Not good to piss off the majority of your fans. If they didn't try to get back at Trump, his comments would have blown over in no time.

All they have to do is read the first sentence of the 1st amendment to know there is no free speech issue involved.. I blame the schools.

Each individual should have his own set of principals. There is no disputing that. Standing up for what one believes as right is very important. That I won't begrudge anyone.

It has been said politics is the art of the possible. If one is on the fringes of the extreme right or left for that matter. standing up for those beliefs and his set of principals is honorable. But in politics, being the art of the possible, one may have to compromise or play the give and take game to get something accomplished. What we have seen pretty much over the last 9 years is very little give and take or compromise with both sides standing on their ideology. Results, a dysfunctional congress in the arena of politics.

Those who associate with the two major parties are usually farther to the left and right than the average American. Sometimes a lot farther than what the average American is willing to go. When either party tries to go past that certain point we have what I call sea change elections. I think one needs to take a good look at what is possible, then try to get as much of what is possible even if it means compromise and give and take. Standing on principal alone may lead to nothing in the political arena. Whereas taking as much as what is possible could lead to 40%, lead to more or less, but one keeps moving forward. Once that is accomplished, one is ready for the next fight, for the next steps forwards. Americans generally like little steps at a time, not one gigantic leap.

    Just an observation of mine.

So if cops can get away with only killing, for no just reasons, a small percent of black men they come into contact with that is fine with you?

Yeah....I mean....just like a certain OP where the RWers cried and whined about free speech when a certain white extremists website got the boot from their domain host. Pot, meet kettle.

The description used to stop Castille? Black with a wide set nose.

Repeat that...Black with a wide set nose.

How many of these match that description?

It was the courts who found the tactics used by the NYPD to constitute racial profiling and that most of the stops lacked probable cause.

The officers were executing NYPD department policy. So, then, yes, the NYPD is demonstrably a racist institution.

It is unfortunate that you cannot separate the institution from the people serving it.

The tool you have in the graphic is a MINI-KEYCHAIN MULTI-TOOL. This is what you have in your tool-box? ROFL!!!! It's part of their "DIME" lineup. Do you understand why the lineup is called the "Dime" lineup?

Here is what the typical multi-tool looks like:

The blade in most multi-tools is more than sufficient to stab deep enough to cut an artery - the aorta, the jugular, or the femoral artery. They *are* dangerous weapons!

The man wasn't murdered. The police were acting in self-defense. But it *is* a nice try you have made to actually create a false impression about the multi-tool.

    No, they do *NOT*.

    go here: www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/sharp-objects

    "
    Leatherman Tools

    • Carry On Bags: No
    • Checked Bags: Yes
In general, you are prohibited from traveling with sharp objects in your carry-on bags; please pack these items in your checked bags. Scissors with blades smaller than 4 inches, small needles carried for special medical needs, and other sharp objects that do not contain a blade may be placed in carry-on bags.

Any sharp objects in checked bags should be sheathed or securely wrapped to prevent injury to baggage handlers and inspectors."

Stop trying to fool people! Do you *really* not understand that all this is available on the internet and is *easy* to look up?

What? You would rather than *NO* description of the criminal be given at all?

How can it be a racist institution today when it is *NOT* doing stop and frisk today? Are these disrespectful antics all about the PAST and not today or the future?

It is *truly* unfortunate that you cannot tell where on the timeline you exist!

And in most cases the police DID have a good reason! When a 300lb criminal thug attacks you after already trying to take your gun just what do you expect a policeman to do? Just stand there and die?

My guess is that is pretty close to the truth today for the left. The police should just consider themselves to be sacrificial lambs for criminals that don't want to be arrested.

    Pathetic!
