The conspiracy theories have already started. This piece is using Snopes to try to debunk the idea that there's a 2nd shooter. Discuss this or any other conspiracy theory related to the Las Vegas shooting:
How about we don't? One man, elevated shooting position, 23 rifles, hundreds of rounds of ammo, and a huge @#$%-off crowd of people. Ray Charles could have done half that damage if you stood him at the window and told him "Aim lower, lower...little more to the left...Perfect! Fire for effect." What the @#$% is the fascination for adding conspiracies to already horrific events. I'm surprised they don't try claiming that there was a second car that vanished up someone's arse when the old guy plowed into the farmer's market.
My question would be why the FBI and media has denied any connection to ISIS, when they took responsibility as soon as the story first broke and have continued to do so. The only reason I can think of is that if he were part of ISIS, it wouldn't fit in their propaganda for more gun control
Maybe its because they can't find any connection. Maybe its because they are developing leads to a different motive. Maybe its because Isis didn't or can't provide any concrete evidence that they were involved. There's three reasons right there.
I don't have a conspiracy theory. I have questions. First, why can't they get the timeline straight? Don't give me the fog of war BS. Everything is well-documented via multiple sources. Since when is getting shot and telling the police where you were shot heroism? Why did they embellish the security guard's experience? What took the police so long? I know, but I want them to say it.
I watched the girl being interviewed live, who said there was a woman or two people running around telling everyone they were going to die. Now that has been "debunked" by Buzzfeed, who says the security company denied knowledge of it. That girl wasn't lying. It happened.

There's boredom/misfit induced 'fascination for adding conspiracies', and there's the skeptic's 'something's not right with this'. Unfortunately, the latter has been lumped in with the former. I find it stranger that people actually believe the official narrative as it stands. That's not to suggest that there's anything sinister going on (govt involvement etc), as I don't personally believe that that is the case, but there is possibly something they don't want made public yet - if ever. If I were to guess, I would go with links to a political, criminal, or religious group. That's the sort of information which can actually be more damaging than the event itself (not to discount the awful loss of lives). Damaging to govt and industry, and to the general sense Americans have that terrible acts like these don't come from middle class, elderly white men.
