That's the problem, gritting your teeth and taking it isn't giving consent. If intimidation or coercion keep women from verbally saying no, that is NOT a green light. "I just start doing it" without an ask or a clear go ahead is assault.

Example, one time I was delivering something to a client. I worked at a bank and was dropping off an order of checks. He showed me around the business, I gave him the checks, extended my hand for a shake and before I knew it he was leaning in for a hug while saying "aw come on, don't I get a hug?" I didn't have time to react, plus I was caught off guard. I would have said no, you may have a handshake like any other customer. Creep. Did I file charges? No, does that mean I consented to being touched? No. Too many men have no idea how to get consent.
