I have tried to watch Burns documentary. Lord knows I gave it my best shot. Trouble is, I kept seeing things that are far out of context. I wanted to see a story told from the American side, not a story told to make the communist seem to be victims. Who else who served in our military saw the Burns fiasco?

Ken Burns is a liberal revisionist history type who produces revisionist history for the liberal PBS.

Ken Burns was on the receiving end of a lot of flak over his "The Civil War" that was nothing more than PC revisionist history.

Ken Burns only defense for his "The Civil War" was "I'm not a historian, I make movies." More accurately I make politically correct revisionist history movies for the Hollywood Left.

Interviewing veterans of the Vietnam War 45 or more years after the war isn't so smart. Memories fade and opinions have changed over 40 or 50 years. On the counter cultural anti war movement, many fried their brains on drugs bigly 40 or 50 years ago. They aren't a reliable source for historical accuracy.

Ken Burns is a liberal Democrat, a big time donor to the DNC and a big fan of the Kennedy klan who goes out of his way to protect the JFK and Bobby Kennedy legacy based upon lies and myths.

I also tried watching Ken Burns "The Vietnam War" and there were more than a few problems I saw, some right out lies.

I finally did get to watch all ten episodes and in every of the ten episode I saw inaccuracies, revisionist history and right out lies.

In episode #1 no mention of President Eisenhower's strategy and tactics that were used in Laos to stop Communist expansion in South East Asia.

In episode #2 it does mention that JFK did order a massive cut back on funding Eisenhower "secret war" in Laos. But Ken Burns doesn't touch on the secret war in Laos. No mention of Eisenhower warning JFK not to get involved with the corrupt Diem regime or try to stop communist expansion at the 17th parallel. You'll find yourself in a shooting war that can only be won by waging "total war."

In both episodes #1 and #2 not once was SEATO ever mentioned.

Anyone who was old enough to remember that from the mid 1950's to about 1966 all you read in the papers and watched on the news was SEATO, SEATO, SEATO...(South East Treaty Organization) It was what Americans were told why we were in South East Asia.

If SEATO fails, NATO is likely to fail.

Ken Burns used revisionist history to protect the JFK legacy when it came to JFK's regime change in South Vietnam signing off on the CIA backed military coups of removing the corrupt President Diem regime from power.

Not once did Ken Burn's mentioned that the counter culture, anti war movement were getting their marching orders from the Kremlin. Yes, the Soviets were meddling in our internal affairs during the 60's and early 70's.

Anyone who watches Ken Burn's "The Vietnam War" will walk away being misinformed and believing liberal PC revisionist history.

Like how the US lost the Vietnam War. That is one that Leftists love to scream over and over again. To bad that is false, because the US won the Vietnam War.

They were not even involved in the Second Vietnam War, when North Vietnam attacked and destroyed South Vietnam. In 1975, 2 years after the war ended.

The American soldier won the war on the battlefield but the political left in America helped North Vietnam to win the war in 1975 on the streets of America and back stabbing South Vietnam in Congress.

The only reason anyone would want to watch Ken Burn's "The Civil War" is to see all of the old photos and the only reason to watch Ken Burn's "The Vietnam War"...there is none since all of the film used has already been used in other documentaries on the Vietnam War.
