This isn't about the US or NATO and whats taking place along the Russian border. Just an FYI there.

The link is comprehensive.. Most people never followed events in Yemen until 3 years ago.

Still don't see a valid question. Is it to much for you to handle about Irans own actions? Do you know the meaning of Provocation? Or is that what causes your cornfuzzlement?

Only if we get to parade them before the people and burn their flag. Fair is fair Right?

I have no idea.....But he just cant seem to focus on that part about the Iranians own actions. Nor why we should treat them in the same way.

LOL, you are even more extreme than me. I'd meet then with overwhelming force and demand a full surrender or we start sinking ships. After that I'd demand our billions back or we start sinking ships. It would be a good exercise for our naval forces and a real moral booster and we'd probably get our money back. This is in reality a golden opportunity to undo what Obama did and this armada from Iran could be sailing into a trap if and I say if we have the balls. I'd love to see Trump do this but can you imagine the political blow back and calls for impeachment from the left? Doubtful it will happen but if I was president it absolutely would.

That's the sort of nonsense that angry savages and dictatorships do. We are above that sort of thing, or at least most of us are. Trump's base does seem to have an alarming amount in common with Iran and North Korea, where cult of personality, ideology and propaganda (all of which is evident among Trump supporters and in Trump's own droolings) rule society.

    Only in international waters..

Iran's waters are only 12 miles out along the coast and they don't have much of a navy. They can't even refine their own gasoline.

Of course you can't see the analogy of Iranian ships entering the huge gulf of Mexico after an invitation from their allies compared to the US entering the tiny Persian gulf after an invitation from Saudi Arabia.

And.....when were those exercises held In Iranian waters, again?

As even the Iranians whined about having exercises on the high sea and that International Law should apply. All due to their trembling.

The money never belonged to the US.. That was Iranian money frozen since the 1979 revolution.

Just trying to keep things in perspective MMC. Some of us like to do that.

The insinuation is that the Gulf of Mexico belongs to us, despite its name. If it is such a big deal that Iranian ships our operating in international waters, what some see as our Gulf, why is it not a big deal when US troops are operating on the Russian border?

Imagine how tweaked up people might be if Mexico or Cuba invited Russia or Iran to conduct wargames in their countries...

We entered due to the Invitations given to us and we still don't go into Iranian waters to hold those exercises. So again.....what legitimacy does Iran have in waters they don't control?

Did you forget the invite from Bahrain, the UAE and the Saud? What about Kuwait too?

Completely irrelevant Those war games have been going on for years. The straits are only 21 miles wide.

How does Russia's different set of circumstances correlate with the Iranians attempt to do.

Uhm Cuba recently invited the Russians. Did you see us call for the Death of Cuba? Burn their flag? Play chicken with the Russian ship? What about their Sub?

Heres the difference. We actually know where our territorial waters end and begin.

When can the Iranians say that?

Lmao .....not at all you still haven't figured out how Iran initiated provocations against the US. Still haven't figured out where Irans territorial waters end and begin.

Tell us how Iran can lay claim to International Waters in the Persian Gulf?

Did Oman invite them too? Oman and Iran reached an agreement that no foreign military crafts can go through that strait that they jointly own

In May 1993, Iran enacted a comprehensive law on maritime areas, several provisions of which conflict with UNCLOS provisions, including a requirement that warships, submarines, and nuclear-powered ships obtain permission before exercising innocent passage through Iran’s territorial waters. The United States does not recognize any of the claims by Oman and Iran and has contested each of them.[5]
