The actions of the IRS in particular those by Lois Lerner's group ordered by Barack Obama assaulted Americans for their political affiliations and religious beliefs. In essence assaulting all Americans. One day is was conservative groups and Catholics, What was to say that Obama would assault others (which he did).

 

John Koskinen was allowed to slither away after a vote to impeach by a House committee. Finish the job and forget your pointless apologies.

Not one tea party group was shut down, or precluded from doing business in any way by the scrutiny these groups recieved from the IRS. NOT ONE.

When you apply for 501 tax status, you can continue doing business as a "declared entity" the whole time your application is pending. Which is what every single one of these groups did. In the event that your application is turned down, you are still a business entity, but you have to apply under a different section of the IRS code, which means you might have to pay taxes, or (even worse for the tea party), reveal the sources of your income.

The tea party movement was a public relations campaign run out of washington by right wing PR operations, think tanks, and K Street lobbying firms.

It was never a grass roots movement. It sprung fully formed in a matter of months. That level of spontaneous coordination simply does not happen.

And the money all dried up right after the 2010 election too. All of a sudden, the checks from mysteriously named entities around DC stopped arriving at local tea party offices. Slick young operatives stopped doing the leg work for rallies. Hosting fees stopped getting paid. Printing bills too.

But the fact that the IRS noticed that all of a sudden dozens, if not hundreds of group suddenly applied for status under a previously obscure part of the IRS code, and began looking into it, provided fuel for the right wing persecution complex, which they have exploited ever since.

Every one of these group applied under secttion 501c4, for ONE and ONLY ONE reason.

They wanted to hide the fact that they were front groups for Wall Steet and K Street from the rubes who showed up at the rallies and were niave enough to think it was a people's movement.

Your claims of no damage done fly in the face of the evidence and an apology by the IRS and a substantial settlement for the
plaintiff parties reveal what an enormous fib you have tried to pass of in an age when anyone can check your false facts instantly.
The resignations of high level IRS officials Lois Lerner, Joseph Grant and Steve Miller also act as a B.S. detector on your claims (that no damage was done by attacking the political foes of president through the IRS....something that only Richard Nixon had previously done).

If you believe in the Bill of Rights and the principle of equal protection under the law than you were assaulted as a citizen of the country

the IRS was sent after Tea Party members because they dared to oppose the agenda of Obama.
