There was a reason that the committee investigating this didn’t take it any further. You should read up on it.

In a nutshell........

Question - “Mrs Lerner, did you or your office investigate any 401c applications to the IRS from Tea Party groups”
Answer - “Yes we did. We also investigated many other 401c applications including liberal leaning groups”
Republicans - “THE IRS IS BIAS AND INVESTIGATED TEA PARTY GROUPS !!!”

I don’t know why she claimed that she thought her life would be in jeopardy. Maybe she received death threats.

Let’s not make what happened today in any way about the actual investigation. It’s NOT. This was Jeff Sessions “admitting” that the IRS targeted Tea Party groups. And he is paying those groups a LOT of money. If you don’t see that this is just another way that the administration is filling the coffers of their own party, and making a PR hit on democrats then your not paying attention.

I have to give it to them, this was genius. They have people really believing that the IRS was used by the Obama administration to target republicans. And nothing could be further from the truth.

charities used names with things like Tea party party in their name and the IRS set them aside to review and see if they were political... common sense based on the name as political groups do not qualify
