I don't know about the rumor. But this isn't the first time that someone in Trump's government learned that they were being dumped in the press. Trump is a gutless weasel.

Today the White House already denied these rumors. More fake news by CNN meant to stir turds and discredit Trump.
I guess that's why Tillerson high tailed it to the White House. He knows that these "rumors from anonymous sources" have an annoying habit of being true. And Tillerson knows first hand that Trump is a gutless weasel.
