We try to have better relations with all those countries and always have.

Liberals want to go beyond having good relationships with those countries governments, and bring in the 3rd worlders living in those countries.

yeah, i know. i really don't give a ****. that the american slavery system became intertwined with race in a way that it wasn't elsewhere is notable and a subject of a lot of conversation. racism became a justification for the economic utility of slavery. slavery became racist because it was easier to deem africans subhuman so people would stop complaining about slavery than it was to give up free labor. then, once that justification became a part of the country's ideological fabric, slavery started being powered by it in addition to economics.

i binged a few documentaries about this after reading a people's history of the united states last year, a good amount of it is still pretty fresh in my memory

you know what I find ironic, the statement "we are the focus of evil in the world." We weren't until after WWII and businesses saw how much money can be made by wars and we became a military industrial complex messing with countries all over the world. I can't believe the blind hacks deny the role the US< they just want to beat their chest and wave their flags, god forbid you look at the actions of this country that has drawn ire from many countries.

Our foreign policy is one of complete and utter hypocrisy. We are like the British empire was when they occupated most of the world. We have bases all over, we bomb the hell out of people and innocent people all over the world. we fight bogus wars, we prop up dictators if they are friendly to the US and US business interests (Saddam was an ally, we helped overthrown democratic Iran government for the Shah), when they turn on us, we invade countries and leave the people to deal with the aftermath. When the purpose is served, we abandoned them, like we did with Afghanistan in the 80s after we used them to fight the Soviets. Don't even get started on the deplorable actions of our military during the Vietnam war. We slap sanctions on russia for invading Crimea, but we invaded Iraq for no reason. Complete arrogance and hypocrisy

slavery was race based around the world as well. the first known slavers were arabs who enslaved blacks, hindus, even whites. anybody they could get their hands on.

but you see, it's not about race, it's about resources. human resources, to be exact. if the entire world was one race there would still be slaves. with all the different races, some enslave members of other races exclusively, like muslims, while others enslave their own, like blacks. there's no formula to it.

and honestly, there's no way that europeans, or arabs, or anyone for that matter, could go to africa in the 1400's or 1500s, and NOT see them as subhuman.

the africans were living 6,000 years behind the rest of the world. it would be like aliens coming to earth and you're mad that they don't see you as equal.
