In some societies, harsher but similar 'law of the land' still exists. If two unmarried people are caught together, unchaperoned, they are compelled by their community and families to marry immediately, before any children transpire. I have a friend who had to do this, and he didn't really like the girl that much - they just made the mistake of thinking they could have a short conversation unobserved. The culture they grew up in meant they had the maturity to make the best of it, so it turned out well. They did eventually fall madly in love with each other, and had a family etc.
I don't dispute that. I agree that sex outside of 'marriage' is essentially a bad idea, and almost always lowers the quality of the life of participants. The happiest, most stable, and most committed relationships are between those who've had the least sex outside of marriage. It's a known and well understood phenomenon.
The solution is society looking at single mother as an outcast. In south Korea single mothers are rare, for now. This is because society will not even hire a single mother for work let alone women talking to a single mother. A single mother is considered a low moral woman. This is what the West needs. Of course men should not have sex with these women out side of marriage. In China a woman can not get a birth certificate without a marriage license. In USA the sexual revolution didn't start in the 60's it was started during the alcohol prohibition when suffragettes made it illegal to drink so men went underground and young women went into those places and got drunk. During the 1940's and 1950's there was a rise of divorce.
Of course men have sex with these women outside of marriage... Sounds like you want the US to be a Third World Country with no rights for women. What other stupid barbaric ways do you wish us to adopt?

There is a city in China where single mothers get a fine, women thing twice about getting pregnant out of wed lock. I agree, single mothers in South Korea are looked as low moral person and many women will refuse to talk or be friends with them. Even the child of the single mother would be considered out outcast.
