You've been misinformed. Perhaps you should reconsider the sources you've been using. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/05/politics/democratic-memo-release-house-intelligence/index.html
The situation is not the same. The DEMs didn't want ANY memo to be released, but now that the Nunes' memo was, the GOP has no choice but to take the high ground here and vote yes to also release the DEM memo. It is much more interesting what Trump will do now. The DEM memo doesn't support his narrative but is not any different than the Nunes' memo. It just provides context. If he releases it, the truth about the cherry picked Nunes memo gets out. If he blocks it, it kinda proves he has something to hide. You won't probably agree with my view here, but it is what it is.
Yet the committee, conservative majority committee, has voted unanimously to release it? I'm looking forward to the passage in which Schiff reiterates what he's espoused for months to liberal media: "the dossiers allegations have been verified" ... and of course the names of the agents who've said so under oath. Should I prepare myself to be disappointed?
of course they wont, why would they, republicans leaked their memo and it was a dude, democrats would be better off if republicans blocks theirs cause then they can point to the republican partisan hypocrisy...
SNIP Under the obscure rule the panel is using to release both memos, known as Rule X, they could also call for a vote on releasing it over the objections of the president. But that would require the support of Republicans on the panel. ENDSNIP https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ease-of-democratic-rebuttal-to-gop-probe-memo Sure... And Trump could go 2 hours without tweeting.... But, if our DOJ says there are issues and can point to those issues for correction, let's go that way.... But it's just a stupid process....I thought I heard that Schiff ran this by DOJ before the vote to send to WH?? What a shitty way to run a government!! EDIT.... Sorry FreshAir, but I had to laugh at "and it was a dude".... I was picturing Nunes dressed as a memo...
same people I blame for Trump winning, those that did not bother to vote, I do not care if you think the other party is runny such a disgusting candidate you do not think they could possibly win like Trump, you still need to get out and vote or you may just get a Trump imagine if dems had stayed home and not voted in the Moore election.. we would of had a Moore too
If every eligible American voted in the last election and Trump had won in a landslide you would still blame someone. If every eligible American votes in 2018 and republicans win you will most likely claim it was rigged. Not everyone believes as you do and I am sure it would be disappointing to find out you might be in the minority in your thinking but at some point everyone must just move on.
This all seems sort of goofy. Each side has to go thru a process to release an official version of their opinion. Haven't these asshats been in the media talking about this stuff nonstop?
Schiffs playing "spin doctor" too ... Sadly, despite yrs of experience his argument is as hollow as yours. Sciff points out he "submitted" the memo to the FBI prior to the committee vote ... not that the bureau actually had time to review it before the vote. As a "footnote" Schiff adds, "he'll review the FBI's requested redactions". Pointless, as the memo has created the media hysteria he wanted, and he relieved himself of having to support his allegations. Perfect fodder for Sunday talk shows.
