    Maybe not food and pot

    Or food and booze

    Or food and cigarettes

    Or food and lottery tickets

I never knew what a homeless person was here in my area until the last few decades. Oh, you might see the occassional hobo riding the rails, but that was it. But our mentally ill were in institutions, the poor in state institutions, but we no longer do that. We turn them out onto the streets. Our drug addicts here are seldom homeless for they will sell the drug they are on and then group together to rent a roof over their heads. And of course they help to make ends meet by stealing. Then we house them in prisons. We have drug programs in prisons and they go through that, to only get out, convicted felons which makes it hard to get a job. So, they end up selling drugs again and using them, and it's a vicious circle. But starving is the other option. No one will do that.

Thing is, there are homeless people who are not mentally ill nor drug addicts. I do not know the percentage, but have seen them here in my own area. For some reason, so many of them are young people, who came from poor homes. Or at least the ones me and some other old retired men have tried to help. Breaks the heart man, for these young people are the age group of my grand kids. If I were rich, I would create a home for these young people and work to help them help themselves so they could get out on their own. Why parents would just kick these kids out is horrible. But I know some of these parents are hooked on drugs like meth. And they cannot buy their meth and take care of an 18 year old. And some of these parents are just sorry sons of bitches. A bullet is too much to spend on removing them from society.

    Not even close.

CBP reports they have apprehended over 2.5 million people on the Southwest Border over the last 5 years. How many didn't they apprehend? Is the number 1 for 1 - For every 1 person apprehended, 1 gets through? Is it 1 for 2? 1 for 5?

    https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/media-resources/stats

Even at 1 for 1, more than 2.5 million illegals would have to have left the country in the last 5 years, and there is zero evidence this has been the case.

Perhaps you can cite some data I haven't seen that proves your claim.

Sorry, I took your post wrongly. Got up late(retired) and had not had my pot of java yet. I was waiting on it to finish when I posted. I am fully awake now. lol. I am hooked on the drug caffeine apparently. Brain doesn't seem to operate first thing in the a.m. without my daily fix. Being a very old man, my sleep isn't so well either Aches and pains of old age, and I don't do drugs for sleeping. Just my coffee for waking up. lol

I think he means Indians flying to canada and then sneaking across the canadian border

Or being part of the 40% of illegals who arrive with a visa and then overstay

But V-Verify should catch mostnof them

The problem then becomes ambulance chasing ACLU *******s and liberal judges who allow them to stay for yearsbefore deportation

I see, so it’s illegal aliens that vote against bills raising the minimum wage.

You are all over the place.

Michelle Obama didn't tell anyone what to eat. You should really get outside of your information bubble.

The EPA does not tell people what to eat. You are just grasping at straws to cover your BS claims.

Admit that you want the federal government to control people lives, but only in ways you see fit.

I thought you were concerned about wages. If you are all we have to do is make the undocumented workers documented. Immigration reform could do that.

It sounds to me like you just don't like Mexicans.

I think the canned food producers and all the big corporations providing the food that goes into 'the package' and have donated big chunks of money to the GOP would love this ruling. It's why they gave that money in the first place.

I dont know exactly how the program would work, but I like.the idea of direct food aid over an EBT card that can easily be used fraudulently.

And according to righties, Michelle Obama was being intrusive when she wanted healthy lunch choices on the public school lunch menu. Are right wingers that dimwitted to believe that anyone buys this new sack of hypocritical crap they are tossing around as if it should actually become a reality? Get lost!

We have too many poor immigrants and illegal aliens in America for the free market to support

Legalizing illegals before you seal the border is national suicide

It appears you're trying to figure out how to deny what I have factually presented to you.

As evidence, your denial that Michele Obama, through the DoEd, and the USDA, didn't tell people what to eat. Her School Lunch edicts was news for years, until President Trump rolled back the program.

I reject the left's effort to control lives through regulatory agencies. That effort represented one of the more reprehensible activities of the previous administration. Voters should have some say via their elected officials, which they don't have with regulatory agencies.

I would not force poor people to eat anything they dont like

But I would deny them free food at taxpayer expense

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/12/food-stamps-trump-administration-343245

"But America’s Harvest Box, which USDA contends would save over $129 billion over 10 years, is not very comparable to startup meal-delivery companies like Blue Apron. For one, the Trump administration’s proposal doesn’t include fresh items, like produce or meat, which are the core of Blue Apron and its competitors. Such products perish quickly and are incredibly expensive to ship."

And there's a big difference between letting the States have a say and forcing States to handle the transportation fees.

Dude, when you intentionally misrepresent my argument, you are asking me to argue against a fictional position that I did not take. I won't argue against a blatant strawman, I will just call it out for the rhetorical fallacy which it is.

Let's try again: Cutting the food stamp program funding in half will not save the US money because that money will instead need to be spent on medical bills and will result in decreased productivity due to the fact that people are hungry.

That is my position. Do not "translate" it again.

That's simply false. We could easily give them a low cost worker visa. There's no need to instantly provide citizenship.
