The guys at Veterans Today think that MH17 was really the same plane as MH370. They might be right, but I'm skeptical. That could be proved with airframe serial numbers, but I doubt we will ever be able to see that.

Russian radar records, provided within days, also recorded climbing fighters, as Carlos described. An intact airframe with one engine flaming is consistent with AAM damage, not BUK damage.

As for me, I always wondered if one of the reasons for the shoot down might have been to hurt Malaysia by hurting its airline industry, since it was their second plane in so many months. As for Carlos he was foolish, and Russia was foolish as well if they didn't offer him protection the minute Obama accused them. When you're dealing with a mafia criminal of Kolomoisky's magnitude, you are in trouble. My theory involves historical perspective. In April 2012 in Kuala Lampur, a court convened in accordance with international procedures convicted George Bush and others of war crimes. The US attorney leading the effort was Francis Boyle from Illinois as I recall.

A few months before or after that trial, the same or another Malaysian court convicted or otherwise censured Israel for crimes against humanity and the Palestinian people.

Less than 2 years later MH370 went missing, and shortly after that MH17 was taken down. My theory is that Malaysia was punished for their audacious moves for justice. I think that in that same approximate time frame, the Netherlands had expressed support for BDS actions against Israel.

Who knows?

As for the guess personal experience tells it will be in the high 90s because most people I know just could not give a stuff.

 

MH 370 and MH17 were different models of Boeing aircraft, 767 and 777 I think, so whats more likely is that MH17 was sent empty to were ever MH370 was landed and passengers transferred. I am assuming MH370 was too badly damaged from a decompression event to be worth repairing or able to be repaired in time to send to the Ukraine.
