Correct, but in our MSM, statements from "anonymous sources" are as common as fleas in a dog kennel. The entire MH17 was based on such statements. The US never provided a shred of evidence for its claims, 4 years later. Kiev has provided NO documentation as to who, how and why the flight was given different routing and a lower altitude in Kiev airspace.

"Official story" is what the government says in its documents. "Mass media story" is what you can read in newspapers, watch on TV, read on Internet. In the free world, unlike Russia, mass media's point of view may differ from the government one.
