Immensely bigger.Like a Hurricane compared to a Tropical Storm.
They Literally changed the scope and dynamics of music.
The United States came to a literal standstill once the Beatles
arrived.Record sell out crowds. It was all every and anyone was
talking about. It was on the Nightly news Big Time.
It changed the culture.Elvis was a culture changed but more
a hip changer. He was known more for his hip swinging style of
    belting out a song.
Elvis was truly a Great American.Richard Nixon awarded him
special status as a *Ranger when he came to the White House.
It was said of Elvis in his Prime,he paid The most Taxes.
Was also known for gifting Cadillacs to certain select friends.

    * I remembered incorrectly. The King of Rock & Roll arrived
at the West gate of the White House wanting to see President Nixon.
He wanted to deliever a handwritten letter on American Airlines
stationary explaining his visit.Elvis had advice as to how he could
help in drug enforcement.Ironic given Elvis abused drugs like few other
other americans. But Elvis was not any con man and he truly loved
this country and went out of his way to prove it.
Nixon visited with the King and awarded him a Special Bureau of
    Narcotics badge.

    My dad's favorite song was:

    "Drinking beer, drinking beer,
    In the field artillery,
As the Army goes rolling along!"

The Beatles were bigger than Elvis.

The Rolling Stones were bigger still.

And Led Zeppelin was biggest of all.

No, Elvis had 21 hits and the Beatles had 17. They may have been your pick but the truth is Elvis was King.

Some years back I did some work on an Ernie Ball manufacturing facility. Sterling Ball (Ernie’s son) owns the business and I got to know him a bit. He had his head manager give my (Young guitarist) son a tour of the facility once it was up and running. Sterling also invited my wife, son, and myself to a private New Years eve party with some well known guitarists. One guitarist was Steve Lukather of Toto. It was a hell of a party.

And I'm having a very poor crop year. I have a couple, maybe a dozen, tomatoes on the vine that are about half the size they should be, puny zucchinis and no yellow squash. We've either have drought or monsoons, about two weeks of each.

Another gardener friend who specializes in butterflies (raise and release) says the lack of pollinators in this area is astounding this year. She's had maybe 1/3 of her usual butterflies and caterpillars. Likely the warm spells in winter followed by usually cold spells in spring killed the majority off. :(

I've been drinking lemon water for a few days. I was having a hard time getting use to the heat. So I sat in the car with the windows rolled up till I started sweating really bad. The car was so hot, when I got out it felt chilly out.
Now Im use to summer heat.

By the way, not one person passing by asked if I was alright in a hot car with the windows rolled up or tried to bust a window out to save me. Just sayin'.
