"The FBI turned over thousands of documents to Congress this week, including details about its use of informants to glean information on Russian contacts with President Donald Trump's campaign, according to letters the bureau sent to three GOP committee chairmen on Friday."

"The documents provided this week include details about some of the FBI's most sensitive programs, including a file on the FBI's justification to obtain a court-authorized warrant to spy on a former Trump campaign aide in October 2016."

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...odlatte-667181

Should we expect another "twilight Uber to the WH" Nunes memo soon? Imagine the innuendos he or one of the others can create with thousands of documents?

The real reason Nunes, Meadows, Gowdy, and the rest of the Trump team want these documents is so that they can deliver them to the White House for the Trump defense

But the charade is always entertaining, nothing like turning over to Fox to see either one of the Trump team's phony sententious tirades or Hannity's pretentious homilies on the events.

Couldn't even guess where the next conspiracy is going to originate

This is the scariest thing I've read since the wikileaks dump...

"including details about its use of informants to glean information on Russian contacts with President Donald Trump's campaign"

    Yeah, there was no bias.

    LMFAO!

There was an anti-KGB bias in the fbi...but clearly not one in the trump campaign

Jeez, all this liberal hysteria and pathetic spin over such a non-controversial thing as government transparency, their hatred of it is mind-boggling. The libs have gone full brownshirts and their TDS seems to be getting worse now that they realize that Mueller will not deliver.

It's hard not to see a high level of paranoia worming it's way through your post.

Is transparency that big a concern to you?

While yes, it will be interesting to see what comes from all this, why the "heading things off at the pass" position?

Obama cyber chief confirms 'stand down' order against Russian cyberattacks in summer 2016

WASHINGTON — The Obama White House’s chief cyber official testified Wednesday that proposals he was developing to counter Russia’s attack on the U.S. presidential election were put on a “back burner” after he was ordered to “stand down” his efforts in the summer of 2016.
The comments by Michael Daniel, who served as White House “cyber security coordinator” between 2012 and January of last year, provided his first public confirmation of a much-discussed passage in the book, “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump,” co-written by this reporter and David Corn, that detailed his thwarted efforts to respond to the Russian attack.

Sen. James Risch, R-Idaho, asked about a “Russian Roulette” passage in which one of Daniel’s staff members, Daniel Prieto, recounted a staff meeting shortly after the cyber coordinator was ordered by Susan Rice, President Obama’s national security adviser, to stop his efforts and “stand down.” This order was in part because Rice feared the options would leak and “box the president in.”

“I was incredulous and in disbelief,” Prieto is quoted as saying in the book. “It took me a moment to process. In my head, I was like, did I hear that correctly?” Prieto told the authors he then spoke up, asking Daniel: “Why the hell are we standing down? Michael, can you help us understand?”

The original request was for over a million documents, Politico is reporting thousands of documents were handed over, Fox News is reporting some were turned over. Why not all of them? And why would a file on the justification to spy on Trump be considered one of the 'FBI's most sensitive programs?'

The FBI and DOJ stonewalled for months with these documents and now they turned over 'some.' It's as obvious as obama's incompetence that both departments are hiding stuff, stuff which would probably send people to prison.

I get a kick out seeing pictures of Clinton back in the day when she didn't take showers and her staff said (according to the Podesta emails) she smelled like a goat.

Got to admit I was wrong, they didn't even have to wait till they read the delievered documents before the inneundos fly

Was it ever established out of Fox and talk radio that it actually was a spy? I mean even Goudy had to pass on that one, and perhaps the FBI isn't eager to send over documents with undercover agents identity on them to a group of gnats famous for leaking

And would it be a conservative poster"s contribution if it didn't have an Obama "whataboutism" included, he is the head of the "secret societies" after all

"Paranoia," hardly, I find it all vastly entertaining, the right wing melodrama plays like a bad Shakespearian comedy, as I noted, the inneundos and conspiracies are endless and the theatrics inwhich they are delivered priceless

Anyone want to put money on the fact if Hillary won Russia would have never been brought up at all?

"Hysteria" and "hatred," I just told you, I find it endlessly entertaining, got all the features of the classic melodrama and it is bought to you via infotainment, tough to top that, although I got to admit I was a little disappointed the right gave up on the "secret societies" inneundo so easily, it had the potential for some rich conspiracies

Anything but a "fact," but you kidding, Chaffetz makes Nunes, Jordan, Meadows, Goudy and the whole crew look like Inspector Clouseau, he would haven't have missed any bit of circumstantial connections regardless how remote that had the potential to generate a good innuendo
