If the future of the democrat party is socialism, then the democrat party as no future. This is the USA. People here know that socialism is a total failure. Why dont they learn from history?????

If? The DNC is going all in, global socialist. They do more for illegal aliens than they do for their own constituents.

 

The DNC has formed a circle firing squad and they think Trump is in the middle. But Trump is in the White House sending out tweets on how stupid they are. Judging from the NUMEROUS evaluations of quality of life, emotional well being and health, social democracy is doing rather well for its people. Its a long long way from the failure you wish it to be.

As this political and economic crisis advances and conditions deteriorate, they are falsely identifying more and more democratic concerns and interests as "socialist" and "communist". Have we not seen this same movie many many times throughout history ? Indeed we have. As wealth inequality increases the raging masses become just that. The finger of blame gets pointed in many directions right, wrong or otherwise.

During such times we often see the rise of some authoritarian leader promising to solve all the problems if they would only give him/her more power. And the people often do.

The reason that it is a total failure is the fact that the average person lives in poverty, and the government B'crats live in mansions. It is NEVER equal so it is a failure.

I do agree that communism is at odds with Human nature. That is ultimately why it failed without a shot fired.

I also agree that every system of governance has issues with corruption - it is afterall human nature we are talking about. Some deal with it more effectively than others. A constitutional democracy with strong supporting institutions is perhaps the most effective vehicle for mitigating that corruption.
