    Oh really? My government, one of the most market radikal in the world is communist? How much communist governments do you know that run on gigantic budget surplus and do evrything for bigger shareholder value?

    1. We have reserves running for 4 months. More than enough time to switch to altermatives.

    Then our reserves run out in June, if we dont look for an alternative. Germany has the largest ags reserves in the world.

    We build an LNG Terminal in Wilhelmshafen, which can get LNG from evrywhere.

    Where will Russia get the 60% of its income then?

    This law was the biggest joke. No wonder we ignored it. USA has no right to intermingle in contravts between Germany and Russia. Otherwise we too can block USA - Saudi contracts.

    LNG terminal? Now you remembered about it?
    There is a limited amount of LNG tankers circulating around the world. You would need to find tankers available on short notice. Then you would need to find several tankers worth of liquified gas ready to ship. Then you need to somehow get it to the port of departure. Than pull those tankers from their regular routes and schedules to send a few extra ones to Germany.
    In short, good luck! When **** hits the fan we will just watch and laugh at your stupidity.
    As for Russia’s 60% of total revenue - I highly doubt that its true. Besides, they just raised their retirement age in a pretty brutal way with little internal resistance. What makes you think Pootin can’t raise income or some other tax again?

    You do understand that the American Democratic Party, the American leftwing and virtually all MSM commentators and Democrats all absolutely demand the harshest sanctions possible against Russia and to impose sanctions against any country they violated our sanctions - putting the American leftwing and Democratic Party totally at odds and against Germany and the majority of Germans who oppose the sanctions (94% of Germans.) Indeed, Germany siding with Russia on this to them is siding with Russia in acts of war against the United States.

    Maybe in the Democrat's next world war they now fantastically fan the winds of war to have, Germany and Russia will be on the same side - or more accurately, Germany will be fighting under Russian command.

    None of your business. Iran would ship then and we have 4 LNG tankers ourself. Russia in generell proved more reliable than USA in the past. Its Trump who cancels Deals evry day.

    German Energy politics are decides in Berlin. Not Washington. Get used to it. Beside that we do also buy LNG. It wont be American though. From UK, Bahrein, Iran and Netherlands as Well as Azerbaijan and cyprus

    In the event of a war between The US and Russia, Germany would no doubt prefer to just sit back and watch the sparks fly. One of Hillary Clinton's tasks when elected president was to provoke a war between NATO and Russia in order to force the Russians into cleaning up it's boarders at the expense of the Ukraine and the Baltic countries.

    Trump has to publicly oppose Nord Stream 2 as well as a impose a lot of sanctions on Russia to placate congress and get the media off his back but Trump is a smart man and knows that he cannot stop Germany buying Russian gas. By dealing with the Issue the way he has Trump will bring it to a quick head and make sure it is not one more thing to bog down his administration.

    He didn't get into German affairs. He just suggested that the idea of putting Germany's energy needs in the hands of the Russians was a bad idea. I agree. At some point Russia will close the gas line as a negotiating tool. Stay tuned.

    Trump insulted Germany in public. He did try to Interfer in German affairs. Thats a simple fact.

    In Germany we see alot of your politics as Bad ideas, but dont interfer.

    That said, you say USA would be more trustworty as Energy supplier for us than Russia?

    How can you guarantee USA would not Close Gas supply, when Germany doesent follow USA?

    Trump canceld alot international contracts recently.

    Also how would our government justify that people have to pay 130% for American LNG?
