It's just national socialism, but with a democracy instead of other forms of socialism that are restricted to nation states. It's not like democratic socialism extends to other countries, so it's the same thing as the nazis.

It's the same damn song the socialists play time after time after time. Don't blame the commies. They really can't help themselves. The idea of doing so is definitely to promote their own goods over yours. I am not ideologically opposed to retaliation and protectionism. And balanced trade is the optimum goal.

 

I'm of the opinion that it should be based on wage structure so countries producing goods with $1 a day wage should be taxed on import vs the country that's paying $10 an hour.

BUT the danger becomes those people who get $1 a day get nothing!

Who takes care of the people who can't work due to some type of illness, aging, too young to work? I'm curious who these shirkers are. The actual number of true shirkers and they do exist are very small. Most folks want to work or have some meaningful way to take of them and theirs but it isn't always enough. Some people work 40 hour weeks and still can't support their families (small children, the elderly). What about them?

 

What workers? What are the workers giving that they do not first take?
